While the episode offers several satisfying moments, particularly Tae-ju fighting off Kyungae. Rather than focusing solely on Noh Man-hee, the drama hints at a much larger web of secrets that lies behind.

The Husband Episode 7 Review
Tae-ju Finally Regains Control
One of the episode’s best moments is when Tae-ju handles Kyungae. Tae-ju calmly expose Kyungae’s lies, and it feels satisfying. The scene highlights his intelligence as much as his medical expertise. He isn’t just a doctor but also knows how to handle Man-hee.
Man-hee spends too much time running and escaping in this episode. The way he can escape despite his deteriorating condition reinforces that he is far from finished. With Kyungae hospitalised and his carefully operating plan, Man-hee now has even more reason to become unpredictable. Instead of portraying him as a defeated criminal, we can see he is desperate and is becoming more evil.
His connection to Tae-ju and Se-yun remains deeply personal, explaining that he has more motives.
The Conspiracy Continues to Expand
Perhaps the episode’s biggest surprise is that Man-hee and Kyungae might be part of something big. A big organisation. The hospital director’s suspicious behaviour makes us wonder whether Kyungae is his accomplice.
Rather than delivering straightforward answers, the drama continues planting clues that make us wonder whether multiple people are involved in this kidnapping. It’s an intriguing narrative choice that prevents the story from becoming a simple cat-and-mouse thriller.
Strong Emotional Conflict Drives the Story
While the mystery is engaging, the emotional conflict between Tae-ju and Se-yun continues to make the series work. Despite Tae-ju risking everything to save her, Se-yun still finds it hard to trust him due to the video that Man-hee manipulated and showed her. However, we are still unsure whether the video was fabricated or he indeed said that.
The alleged evidence against Tae-ju appears largely circumstantial, making us wonder why it still isn’t investigated properly to know whether it’s legit or not.
Logic Occasionally Fails
Like previous episodes, episode 7 also has its criticisms. The most obvious example is Man-hee’s escape. He wasn’t able to overpower Tae-ju, but he was able to escape. Like, what do you mean? Like you’re telling me he escaped police custody but couldn’t handle Tae-ju? Logic is not working.
Medical ethics also become part of the discussion as the episode explores difficult decisions surrounding Kyungae’s treatment. So should we treat a criminal or avoid it because she has caused damage?
Final Verdict
Episode 7 doesn’t have many twists, but it does reveal that something big is behind these kidnappings. It broadens the central mystery while strengthening the emotional conflict between its characters. Tae-ju continues to evolve into a great fighter while Se-yun is still in shambles. Man-hee remains an unpredictable villain.
Despite all this, the series is actually very interesting. The plot is strong, and the cast has done a great job. Moreover, the mystery is pretty nice to uncover. Hopefully, the series won’t fail us in the end.
