Series Overview

The Golden Spoon (금수저) is a drama-thriller TV series directed by Song Hyun-wook and stars Yook Sung-jae, Lee Jong-won, Jung Chae-yeon, Yeon Woo and Choi Dae-chul, alongside other cast members.

The series takes over MBC’s Friday-Saturday 10 PM KST timeslot, previously occupied by Big Mouth. The series is based on the webcomic Geumsujeo by gp04fb on Naver.

Lee Seung-cheon is a poor student whose family isn’t able to afford much. Tired of not being able to enjoy the niceties of life, Seung-cheon meets a mysterious old woman who gives him a mysterious golden spoon. He can use the spoon to switch lives with another person, but he only gets three chances to make up his mind. So, will Seung-cheon choose his own family or give it all away for a life of wealth and luxury?

Disney+ synopsis of the show reads: “A child from a poor family acquires a “golden spoon” that can swap him with his rich friend and allow him a life that he always dreamed of.”

The series will stream from September 23 to November 12, 2022, at 10 PM KST on MBC. The Golden Spoon episode 12 will release on October 29, 2022, at 8 PM IST on Disney+.

The Golden Spoon Episode 12 Predictions

Tae-yong reveals the truth that he has found out to Seung-cheon and makes his move to get back his life by eating at the Hwang house. Seung-cheon tries to keep Ju-hee away from Tae-yong by badmouthing “Lee Seung-cheon” but this fails again. On the other hand, tae-yong hits Seung-cheon and calls him the one who abandoned his parents.

On the other hand, it looks like Ju-hee is slowly realising who “Hwang Tae-yong” actually is.

The Golden Spoon Episode 11 Recap

The investigation for President Na’s murderer brings Seung-cheon and Ju-hee on one team along with Tae-yong as they look for clues themselves. While the arrows point at Jun-tae, they need solid proof to prove the same.

Elsewhere, Hyun-do has something planned for the Lee family and it isn’t something good. On the other hand, Tae-yong is left in a mess as he slowly comes to the realization that he may be the real Hwang Tae-yong.

Jun-tae brings danger to Ju-hee’s life as he tries to kill her after finding out that she is investigating him. However, he stops when Ju-hee receives a phone call from Seung-cheon.

Ju-hee soon finds footage that can be used against Jun-tae and she rushes to reopen the case. However, Hyun-do finds out about this first and pays Jun-tae a visit.

Elsewhere, Tae-yong pays Seung-cheon a visit to open up about his doubts, but is overheard by Yeo-jin and Ju-hee. Yeo-jin then denies all his accusations and runs out. Ju-hee follows him but instead is caught up by the news of Jun-tae being arrested for the murder of President Na.

On the other hand, Tae-yong meets the weird grandma who is selling a golden spoon.
