The Glory Release Date Announcement Teaser Out; Netflix Teases Another Intriguing Kdrama!

The Glory is an upcoming K-drama that will premiere on Netflix. Starring Song Hye-kyo and Lee Do-hyun, the anticipated show will release on December 30, 2022. The show is written by Kim Eun-sook of Guadian: The Lonely and Great God and Mr Sunshine and directed by Ahn Gil-ho of Stranger and Happiness.

The rest of the cast includes Im Ji-yeon, Park Sung-hoon, Yeom Hye-ran, and Jung Sung-il as the main characters and Jung Ji-so, Shin Ye-eun, Son Sook, Kim Hi Eo-ra, Cha Joo-young, Jo Min-wook, Kim Gun-woo, Yoon Da-kyung, Son Kang-gook, Lee Hae-young, Lee Byung-joon, Yoon Jin-seong, and Kim Jung-young as the supporting characters.

The genre of the series is thriller-suspense and has an 18+ rating due to the display of profanity and violence. It is a revenge story about a woman whose life was completely destroyed and shattered as a result of ruthless school violence during her high school days. As the perpetrators go on to live their lives, she is left with trauma and regrets, which leads her to make rash decisions.

Netflix synopsis of the K-drama reads:

Years after surviving horrific abuse in high school, a woman puts an elaborate revenge scheme in motion to make the perpetrators pay for their crimes.

In the teaser, Song Hye-kyo is in an all-black outfit sitting beside a portrait. She talks about how there will be no mercy and no glory as a melancholic melody plays in the background. She looks right at the viewers, breaking the fourth wall. The date of the release of the show is displayed at the end.

The plot of the K-drama is about a bullied victim who had to drop out of school because of it. Her dreams of becoming an architect were shattered due to the brutal school violence she had to endure. Later in life, she grows up to become a homeroom teacher, where she meets the daughter of her abuser. She begins to plot revenge against not only the perpetrators but also the bystanders who do nothing to save her.

The revenge story will consist of 8 episodes with a running time of 60 minutes each. All the episodes of the K-drama will stream on Netflix.
