-The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Episode 1 Review Does Not Contain Spoilers-
The first episode of the anime series has adequately set the tone for the upcoming episodes. Although it is not much different from other romance animes, the single aspect that makes it stand out is the spectacular animation. For an introductory episode, the premise of the series is beautifully portrayed and gives us a peek into the elaborate story, making the viewers ask for more.
Kamura is a simple-minded teenage boy with a massive crush on his classmate. He believes his feelings have deepened and is completely in love with Ai. Through a few instances, the creators have competently put forward the mannerisms of a typical teenage boy, which is bound to make the fans relate with the character on a deeper level. Ai, on the other hand, remains oblivious to Kamura’s feelings towards her and keeps the story exciting.
The plot so far is straightforward and wastes no time in introducing the lead characters. By adding abundant sweet and adorable moments, the story has already managed to establish a relationship between the characters. Their endearing interactions will definitely make you root for them.

After Ai forgets her glasses, the instance leads to a chain of events that sparks a friendship with Kamura. Whom he thought is perfect and constantly put her on a pedestal, finally witnesses her shortcomings. He sees her vulnerability, her charming clumsiness, and her genuine, unguarded self. However, his feelings for her do not change one bit; instead, he wishes to grow closer to her.
Apart from the plot, the anime is a feast for the eyes of the fans. Through long-angle camera shots, proving a three-dimensional view of a location, the animation is a fairly newer approach. Slow-motion scenes are also added to enhance and emphasise a particular moment leading the audience to invest in the story entirely. Along with beautifully crafted and visually pleasing sequences, the anime will transport you into an entirely different world.
