The episode starts off with Pil going to meet up with his neighbour. However, when he enters the house, he finds no sign of the woman. Moreover, a lot of things were spillled across the floor, which further made him anxious. As he goes inside the kitchen, he sees his neighbour on the floor, senseless and unconscious. Pil urgently calls for help, and the police arrive.

The forensic team confirms that the woman is dead, but the cause was still unknown. As the woman was close to Pil, it leaves him agitated but he still decided to investigate it. However, when the police tried to ask questions about the woman to the people living in the same society, no one was willing to help. Later it was found out that she did not have good relations with anyone so no one was willing to help.

During the autopsy, the doctor found an extremely unusual thing. The woman had a lot of blood loss but it accumulated inside the stomach and she also had a few ribs broken. Upon looking closer, the doctor also finds that there is no physical injury except for one. She calls for outside help to investigate the case better.

The outside help is none other than Kang Doha, the one who disarmed the bomb when Song Seol was stuck in the elevator. He is appointed as the new head of the department in NFS. As he checks the body again, he finds a number of things but does not reveal any of the information as he requested to visit the murder site for further investigation.

Ho-gae does his own investigation on the side. He finds out that the woman had a number of enemies in the neighbourhood and could point it to no one specifically. However, among everyone, his suspicions go to four people who particularly had a problem with the woman. Along the way he also befriends a little girl who helps him with the investigation.

Ho-gae and Pil disguise themselves as the building managers and visit the house of a suspect. He complains about noise coming from above the building, previously owned by the victim. But when Ho-gae goes to investigate, he sees no one inside the house. The forensic team concludes that the sound is coming from a recording instead.

Later, Kang Doha and Hong both urgently call Ho-gae to the office. They both start to explain the cause of the woman’s death. They reveal that while cooking the rice, the lid of the rice cooker hit her due to immense pressure, which resulted in a lot of injury inside the body and ultimately resulted in her death. Both Ho-gae and Pil find it hard to believe the conclusion and decide to keep investigating the case. The episode ends on that note.
