The English is an upcoming western drama Mini Series, premiering on Amazon Prime. Written and directed by Hugo Blick, the series is being produced by Amazon Studios and BBC Studios. Emily Blunt is playing the lead, Lady Cornelia Locke and is set on a hunt for the ‘alleged’ killer of her son.
The plot will follow the story of a mother, who comes to the West, seeking revenge on the person she holds responsible for her son’s death. She meets an ex-cavalry scout of the United States with whom she may have a shared history. It is a 6 episodes miniseries and will be available on Amazon Prime in the United States and BBC Two in the United Kingdom.

The miniseries casts Emily Blunt as Lady Cornelia Locke, Chaske Spencer as Eli Whipp, Stephen Rea as Sheriff Robert Marshall and Valarie Pachner as Martha Myers. Tom Hughes, Rafe Spall, Toby Jones and Steve Wall will also join the cast.

The English Plot/Synopsis
The trailer debut of the miniseries also has an official synopsis read as – An epic chase Western, the series takes the core themes of identity and revenge to tell a uniquely compelling parable on race, power, and love.
An Aristocratic Englishwoman, Lady Cornelia Locke, and a Pawnee ex-cavalry scout, Eli Whipp, come together in 1890 middle America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood. Both of them have a clear sense of their destiny, but neither is aware that it is rooted in a shared past. They must face increasingly terrifying obstacles that will test them to their limits, physically and psychologically.
But as each obstacle is overcome, it draws them closer to their ultimate destination- the new town of Hoxem, Wyoming. It is here, after an investigation by the local sheriff Robert Marshall and young widow, Martha Myers into a series of bizarre and macabre unsolved murders, that the full extent of their intertwined history will be truly understood, and they will come face-to-face with the future they must live.
The English Release Date and Trailer
The Western Drama is set to release on Amazon Prime on November 11th, 2022. There is no confirmation if the entire series will drop on the same day or if it will be a weekly episode. Watch the trailer below.
