The Eminence in Shadow episode 8 belongs to the very first season of this new franchise and is an action, comedy, fantasy anime directed by Nakanishi Kazuya. It is based on the light novel of the same name for which Aizawa, Daisuke writes the story while Touzai delivers the art. The series follows the story of a boy who is pretty much obsessed with the concept of being a hero from the shadows. He trained and trained in the hopes of becoming like his admired ones. But as humans, there is a limit to how far one can go to be the most powerful.
He understands that even if he studies all the martial arts in the world, it will still not be enough to face supernatural forces or manmade destructive devices like nuclear bombs. One night, in his training frenzy, he suddenly gets in an accident that throws him into a new world.
Dreams come true for him, as in this world, there is magic, and he can finally be someone with immense power. Not only does he achieves his goal of becoming a mysterious knight from the shadows, but he also manages to gather a pack of diligent yet highly trained followers.
Amidst his constant bluffs and multiple misunderstandings between him and the characters of this world, he will finally be able to live out his delusional fantasies from his previous life.
