The Dead Girls Ending Explained

The series opens with the Baladro sisters starting their first brothel after the idea of running a bar doesn’t go as planned. With their income booming, they decide to open other branches, resulting in them housing a ton of women, all of whom were forbidden to leave. However, things start to become a problem when a morality law is passed, which results in the bar being shut down.

In the midst of this, younger sister Serafina is dumped by her boyfriend and seeks revenge. After starting a relationship with Captain Bedoya, the two plan on shooting Simon dead, which backfires badly when Serafina doesn’t get the job done and is eventually arrested. Meanwhile, one of their girls, Blanca, gets pregnant, and a botched abortion results in half of her body becoming paralysed. Desperate to save her, Arcángela and Serafina send her to the hospital, but with no income and multiple mouths to feed, they end up taking her out eventually.

Soon after, things start to go downhill, with Arcángela’s son also getting shot and killed at the same time, and, with the ban not lifting, the sisters take their entire cavalry and move to a rundown farm. Unfortunately, their perils don’t end there, as, before the move, Blanca dies, and soon after, more women are killed. With so many dead bodies turning up around the sisters, the police get involved and search for clues to arrest them.

Are the sisters arrested?

Yes, the sisters are eventually arrested just as they try to make a run for it. The police find several women’s bodies in Mexico Lindo, as well as the trapped women in the ranch. Bedoya is also arrested for his involvement in the case, and eventually, the trapped women tell the police everything about the dead bodies in the ranch. With the walls closing in around them, the remaining women, too, testify against the sisters to get out of jail.

The situation turns into a spectacle, and the sisters become fodder for public ridicule. In the end, all the accused get 20+ years in prison, much to their heartbreak. The women who were prostituted get their freedom and are given kudos for their bravery. In the end, everyone involved moves on with their lives in one way or another, including the sisters, who run a similar business in prison. Unfortunately, no one could keep track of the victims in all this after they left their prison.
