The Confidence Man Kdrama: Joo Jong-hyuk and Park Min-young to Star in Remake of Popular Japanese Series

K-drama enthusiasts have a new gem to look forward to with the upcoming remake of the Japanese hit series The Confidence Man. Starring Joo Jong-hyuk and Park Min-young, this adaptation is set to bring a fresh twist to the popular crime comedy. The drama will be directed by Nam Ki-hoon, celebrated for his work on Destined With You and Big Bet. The script will be crafted by Hong Seung-hyun, known for his work on Criminal Minds and Cheo Yong. Together, they aim to infuse the Korean remake with their unique creative vision while staying true to the essence of the original series.

Jong-hyuk, known for his roles in Yumi’s Cells and Extraordinary Attorney Woo, will take on the role of a suave credit fraudster, showcasing his knack for compelling portrayals. His recent performance in the romantic comedy Frankly Speaking highlighted his versatile acting skills, making him an ideal fit for this complex character. He first gained recognition with his debut in My ID is Gangnam Beauty and continued to impress with roles in D.P. and Happiness.

Joining him is Min-young, who has captivated viewers with her roles in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim and Her Private Life. Fresh from her global success with Marry My Husband, Park is poised to deliver another memorable performance in The Confidence Man. Her upcoming project, Braveness of the Ming, also promises to showcase her range and depth as an actress.
