The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 2 Recap Contains Spoilers
The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 2 begins where the first one ends. Echo, Tech and Omega are falling off the Cargo ship and can’t control where the container will land. Hunter and Wrecker escape through an underground door that takes them to the city ruins. Hunter finally connects with Tech and is shocked to learn that they all will be crashing on the group.
The trio have a tough land at the edge of a mountain cliff where Tech gets badly injured. Echo decided to go out and check where they landed. They still need to land fully and are stuck on the cliff amid the dense forest. They get out of the container, leave behind the war chest and walk into the forest to find cover.
The troopers are still on the lookout for the Bad Batch. Hunter connects with Tech and tells him it’s time for Plan Double Zero (to go radio silent). Omega senses that someone is following them and immediately catches a man named Romar. They believe he’s working for the Empire, and he thinks they’re working for them. Romar takes them all to his house. Omega tells them they should return to the container and get the war chest. But Echo refuses to as it’s dangerous.
The stormtroopers divided their unit into 50 groups as 50 containers were released from the Cargo ship. They also want to get their hands on Hunter and others. Hunter and Wrecker are running out of explosives. But they find the Separatists’ tank and think of a plan.

Romar tells Echo, Tech and Omega that they should not take the war chest as it’s cursed. He tells them how Dooku took everything from the people in the city. He tells Omega to let the Empire take the war chest. Echo tells Omega that she has to keep an eye on Romar. On the other hand, Hunter and Wrecker check the Separatists’ tank to see if it can help them to fight the troopers.
Romar gives Omega a unique toy of optical illusions. Tech and Echo discuss the war chest and how it will help them to be free. Echo steps out for patrolling, leaving Omega and Tech with Romar. Tech helps Romar to fix one of his equipment. Hunter and Wrecker are still fighting the troopers in the city ruins. They manage to activate the tank and attack the troopers and their ships. But the troopers keep coming in to attack them.

Tech fixes Romar’s data storage unit. Echo returns from patrolling, and they realise that Omega is missing. They suspect she has gone to collect the war chest from the cargo container. A badly injured Tech and Echo leave to find her. Omega and others are at the container, and the troopers also arrive there, shooting them with the blasters.
Hunter and Wrecker manage to get back in their ship while Tech is out fighting the stormtroopers. He informs Hunter about their location coordinates. Omega refuses to leave the war chest and tells Echo about his conversation with Hunter. Echo insists she let go of the war chest.

Romar wakes up a fallen Tech, but the troopers arrive with another ship. Romar helps Tech to fight the troopers, and they save Echo and Omega. Hunter and Wrecker arrive with the ship on time, and they all leave the city. Romar gives the crystal toy to Omega. On the ship, Omega apologises to Echo for failing to get the war chest. The duo have a hearty conversation.
One of the troopers informed Vice Admiral Rampart that the people who tried to remove the war chest were Clone Force 99. Rampart tells him that it’s not possible as they all sunk during the fall of Tipoca City. The trooper tells him his intel was inaccurate as his team had visual confirmation of 2 of them and their lives.
Rampart is concerned about the consequences if Governor Tarkin finds out about his misinformation regarding the Bad Batch members’ death. He tells the trooper to alter the report about the missing cargo without any mention of Clone Force 99. But the trooper refused to submit the false report. Rampart shoots him and decides to submit the report himself.

The Bad Batch Season 2 Episode 2 Review: Final Thoughts
In the second episode, we witnessed how strong the bond is between Omega and the Bad Batch. They will put up a strong fight with the enemy and risk their lives for each other. It was an interesting mission for Hunter and others and for us to watch. They fail to grab the war chest, so their freedom is out of the question. The mission resulted in Admiral Rampart learning that Hunter, Wrecker, Echo, Tech and Omega are alive. What will be his next move?
The second episode has thickened the plot and invited unknown trouble for Hunter and his gang. We are still not shown what Crosshair is up to. Let’s hope we find out soon if he’s alone, with the Empire or secretly asked to be in a safe place by Hunter.
