The series initially gained a following through online serialization from 2013 to 2016 on the user-generated novel platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 3 Review and Recap – Rimuru Is Busy!

After many conflicts, peace is finally settling in the Jura Tempest Federation, and we see how things are being dealt with after the war. Many works have been going on simultaneously, and even though technically peace is here, nobody is actually free from their duties. Rather, they are busier than ever because winning does not mean the work is done.

Rimuru and his subordinates will still have to look after the prisoners of war, refugees and the war spoils. This kind of thing takes time, but considering Clayman’s huge domain, things are more hectic. Obviously, not all prisoners of war will be easy to control, there can also be a rise in revolt within prisoners if not checked properly. Plus, some other country can also suddenly attack, jeopardising all the progress.

Hence, Hakuro and specifically Geld, has been looking after these sectors with immense care. And because of the pressure of work and also because Geld refuses to do things half-heartedly, he is especially tired and exhausted from it all.

Many other updates are coming out as well. Many nations like Thalion of the Sorcerer’s dynasty have officially declared their formal relationships with Rimuru. There is another huge announcement that we received at the end of the episode, because of which Rimuru is now at the centre of everyone’s attention.

This episode was filled with very important information and contributed greatly to the Tensura world-building. We get to know about newer species, and kingdoms and also understand how they perceive the birth of a new demon lord.

I have said it before, but out of all the subordinates Rimuru has, Diablo is definitely the most cunning and politically intelligent one. The way he trapped the Falmus Kingdom into making them essentially a vassal state of the Jura Tempest Federation, is remarkable. Even Rimuru is in awe of his abilities.

Verdict

This episode was very interesting and gave us a knowledge-heavy experience. I like this kind of detail as it helps thicken the plotline and add more to the overall story. The fact that everything that is happening has a reason behind it shows how good the writer of Tensura is. The next episode is going to be a more fun one, as we will see many nations come together to witness Rimuru’s greatness.
