That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 18 Recap

This episode might be the final one before the long-awaited festival finally begins. I certainly hope so, because it feels like we’ve been waiting forever for this festival that seems to keep getting delayed. The episode opens with Rimuru hosting several important neighbouring kings and their messengers who have come to attend the event. The first to arrive is the king of the Blumund Kingdom, with whom Rimuru discusses a critical task he is planning for the future. The Blumund king and queen readily agree, trusting Rimuru’s abilities and leadership.
We also catch up with Yeom, the newly crowned king of the Farmenas Kingdom, formerly known as Falmuth. It’s reassuring to see that power hasn’t changed him—he remains as humble as ever. He’s also supported by his aide, Edgar, who happens to be the son of the previous king. During their meeting, Rimuru presents Yeom with a significant gift, though Yeom doesn’t fully grasp its value. Still, he appreciates the gesture.
Next, Rimuru meets with Yuuki, completely unaware of his true nature. Their interaction shows that Rimuru genuinely believes Yuuki is a good person, even going so far as to personally invite him to the festival. However, Rimuru remains oblivious to the fact that many of his troubles have been orchestrated by Yuuki. Rimuru also invites the children he once taught, transferring them to Jura Tempest so they can enjoy the festival as well.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 19 Review and Recap

We are finally witnessing the eve of the festival where all the important guests are coming one by one. Here, we see Rimuru holding a huge and lavish banquet for all the guests and entertaining them for a smooth sailing start of events. The guests that are already present include King Gazel of Dwargon, we also see Yeom, the hero king of Farmenas and his wife. Other than that, we have the King and Queen of Blumund, among other important dignitaries.
The banquet starts, and slowly, all the delicious dishes are being presented to the guests. But perhaps the most shocking thing was the introduction of Sashimi to them. Sashimi is made up of raw fish, which is a delicacy that has not been introduced in the Isekai world of Tensura. Thus, at first, everyone was not comfortable with such a food. But after Rimuru, then Hinata and Yuuki start to enjoy this food from their home, everyone else becomes intrigued, and Sashimi becomes a great hit.

However, the highlight of this episode is definitely the arrival of some very important guests at this moment. Everyone becomes shocked and almost gets into an utter panic when Emperor Elmesia of Thalion herself comes with her guardian dragon. She definitely does have a presence, and she even asks for some personal time with Rimuru later.
After her, the demon lords arrive, including Milim, and that is how the party started.
Verdict

Today’s episode was pretty happy-go-lucky, and it didn’t have that many important aspects. The humour was evident here, and you do get entertained with everyone’s antics. Rimuru is a gracious host, and hopefully, everything will be fine till the festival ends.
