Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 4 Reactions: TedBecca’s ‘Oklahoma’ Scene Leaves Fans Emotional; Jamie-Roy Friendship for the Win

Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 4 reactions are out on Twitter now that the episode premiere has hit the fans of the show in the feels. The Apple TV+ series has been developed by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly. It stars Sudeikis as Lasso, Hunt as Coach Beard, Hannah Waddhingham as Rebecca Welton, Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins, Phil Dunster as Jamie Tartt, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Nick Mohammed as Nathan Shelley, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, and Anthony Head as Rupert Mannion alongside others.

Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 4, titled ‘Big Week’, dropped on the streaming platform on April 5, 2023. Its official synopsis reads: “Everyone’s feeling the pressure as Richmond gear up to play West Ham. Ted is reunited with an old friend.”

Episode 4 is directed by Destiny Ekaragha and written by Brett Goldstein. As the synopsis puts it, the latest entry finally brings us the much-awaited showdown between Ted and Nathan, and as expected, the latter’s team wins big. However, while working out tactics to beat West Ham, Ted feels pressured by Sassy’s comment about him being “a mess”.

Luckily, Rebecca comes to his aid, as she always does at such times, and gets him to spill how he’s truly feeling. The fact that she still remembers their old interaction about ‘Oklahoma’ being the code word that his couple’s therapist used for him and Michelle to speak “the Go’d honest truth” is getting fans’ hopes up for TedBecca being the endgame. Viewers noted that instead of putting him down or making him feel further conflicted, Rebecca always makes Ted’s thoughts feel validated, in addition to understanding his sense of humour.

The old footage of Nathan tearing down the ‘Believe’ sign last season also surfaced with help from Trent Crimm. And while the visuals get the Richmond team going on hot and violent oil, Ted’s reactions are different than anticipated. The physical comedy embodied by Nick Mohammed in that scene has got the fans laughing out loud while believing that Nate will soon have his redemption arc served to him.

Now that Goldstein emerged as the episode’s writer, the audience also noted how Jamie and Roy’s friendship arc is fleshing out, and just as much as it’s making them happy, it’s also left the viewers emotional. It’s a no-brainer that everyone is rooting for this friendship. On the other end, Jodi Balfour has entered as the newcomer Jack, Keeley’s boss. Her interaction with Temple’s character has also incited quite a few reactions, as the fans can’t wait to see where this story is headed. Here are some of the fan responses recorded on Twitter.
