Swifties here’s what is “better than revenge” – the official announcement of Speak Now Taylor’s Version release date! With her ongoing ‘Eras Tour’, Swift stopped in Nashville on Friday (where she also performed Sparks Fly) and delivered the happiest news possible for her fans by coming clean about the release date of her next re-recorded album soon.
While the Taylor Nation Instagram account even went live during her concert as she unveiled the big surprise announcement on the big screen, she again took to her own Instagram account to post the same information for the rest of the world. Celebrations were obviously in order, and Twitter has already erupted with jolly festivities, as this album has been a long time coming.
Speak Now originally came out in 2010, and the singer completely self-wrote the entire album between the ages of 18 and 20, as she also proudly included in her message on the Instagram post. The album was a catchy hit even back then and delivered memorable tracks for her fans to swear by, like Sparks Fly, Back to December, Dear John, Mean, The Story of Us, Enchanted, Better Than Revenge, Haunted and more.
Her new re-recorded version will include six more tracks in addition to the ones already pre-existing on the old track list. The album is sparked by the artist’s “brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness”, marking how personal their lyrics are to her. Taylor is on the move, and this time she’s again promised to leap from the ashes and soar high like the phoenix she’s always been.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is equally an important album for her fans because, as she so aptly described, the record is all about growing up, finding your flight, while even crashing down in the process, but even more significantly, finding the courage to speak about it. This music piece will follow her preceding re-recorded editions of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version), marking the release of her three out of six long-term plans of recording her first six albums again. Her latest album release, however, was a brand new project and her 10th studio album that came out in 2022 – Midnights.
