Taxi Driver Season 2 Ending Explained
The finale episode of the season brought waves to the Bishop as Do-ki once again pulls another one on them which only infuriates Ha-joon who ends up getting into more trouble. The two are then thrown to the prison cells while Do-ki now has to think of ways to communicate with others, aware that breaking out of this place is almost impossible.

Elsewhere, Sung-chul finds a way to escape the Bishop’s clutches and reunites with the others, who are now set to reconnect with Do-ki who is inside the prison. They soon find a way to do so, but Do-ki tells them that he cannot come out and will work with them from the inside. They then make plans to lethally attack the Bishop’s finances which would then bring everyone working under him to one place.

The plan works well for the team, however, the Bishop is infuriated by this and now wants to put an end to their team. Meanwhile, Sung-chul brings something for Ha-joon which is a part of his past that could change everything. Sung-chul is then captured by the Bishop’s men and taken away along with Do-ki.

The others are stationed outside the prison and waiting for the two, but seeing them being taken somewhere they soon follow up, unaware that the Bishop has been alerted about this and that this is a trap for them. Soon, the team reunites while surrounded by death, but right before the triggers are pulled, a deluxe taxi dashes in and saves the group.

Sung-chul then introduces the team to the first Deluxe Taxi driver who just saved them all, while elsewhere, Ha-joon finds out his truth. Opening the package given by Sung-chul, he finds out that his parents never abandoned him but it was the Bishop who kidnapped him. And if this was not enough, then after years of trying to find him, his father finally met the Bishop who then made Ha-joon kill him.
Ha-joon is now distressed upon knowing that he was made to kill his father who kept trying to search for him, and this agony has no way of escape now. He soon finds out that the Bishop is going to make him take the blame for his crimes along with the fact that Do-ki and the others have once again escaped.

He asks the Bishop to let him take care of this matter and soon contacts Do-ki, asking him if he could accept a client like him. Do-ki soon reaches the prison and faces Ha-joon on the terrace, while the Bishop watches them from afar.
The two begin to fight and Do-ki soon overtakes him, he then asks if this is how he wanted to get back his name, Kim Dan-woo. Ha-joon smiles at him and thanks him for taking his case after which he decides to end things himself and rushes to the Bishop who is standing behind Do-ki with his gun pointed at them.

The Bishop is shocked and tries to stop Ha-joon but the latter does not stop and pushes him off the edge while falling together to their deaths. In the last moments, he reminisces the moments shared with the Rainbow Taxi team and it all comes to an end.
The Bishop’s followers are soon notified of this and panic is created, however, there is no escape for them as the others make sure to not let anyone escape. The case soon comes to an end and we see a time skip of a year.

The team is still together and Go-eun has moved back to the same apartment building as Do-ki, however, the two only silently have a drink together after Go-eun hints at something that is not pondered on much by Do-ki. A new case soon comes their way and Do-ki enters the military, where he sees a face that is familiar to him.
Taxi Driver season 2 episode 16 then closes with a message that says that the taxi will be in service for as long as the phone rings.
