Tastefully Yours Episode 10 Recap

The episode opens with the Jungjae team focusing on the Ultimate Diamant program to learn the rules and realise that Mattieu, the editor-in-chief of the Diamant Guide, must have been the one who put their name in the guidebook. The theme that is decided for the cook-off is chicken, and the team immediately decides what to make. However, that night, they all come back empty-handed and realise that it might be sabotage on Motto’s part.

As the men make their way to the stores again, Yeon-joo appears in front of Jungjae but is still unsure about going back to work. Seon-woo spots Yeon-joo as she makes her way back home and apologises to her for everything, mentioning that the food and restaurant business was always more important to their mother than either of her children.

The next day, the cook-off begins with heavy preparation and a lot of positive feelings from the influencers who have to decide on the best restaurant. Meanwhile, Yeo-ul and Mathieu are also judges and after eating at Motto, Yeo-ul tells the producer that she doesn’t care about the result of the cook-off, just that people remain interested until she expands her restaurant business.

Yeon-joo, for some reason, goes to talk to Yu-jin, who tells her everything about Beom-woo’s difficult childhood, which softens her heart. At Jungjae, the judges taste the food and get ready for the final results, where Jungjae wins the cook-off. However, Yeo-ul decides to call it a tie, unable to accept the truth, which results in Mathieu walking off in a huff. Beom-woo asks them to be ashamed of themselves, and Yeo-ul calls for a rematch, leaving Beom-woo even more furious.

Just then, Yeon-joo walks in and tells Yeo-ul that she will cook something else, and if she is able to tell her that she doesn’t like her dish, then she can shut the restaurant. She agrees to cook breakfast, and Yeo-ul agrees to the fight. Afterwards, Seon-woo invites Beom-woo to have a drink, and he tells his brother why he left everything to protect Jungjae. His words cut deep and leave Seon-woo with many thoughts.

The next morning, Yeon-joo gets ready for the cook-off while Beom-woo thinks back to some of the best moments of his life with Yeon-joo. Eventually, she makes the two brothers sit at the breakfast table with Yeo-ul, leaving everyone confused. When she finally serves the food, it turns out to be nothing extraordinary or out of the world, but it reminds everyone of something they had all lost along the way.

Afterwards, Yeo-ul relents and asks them to operate from where they are, leaving the two of them shocked. In the light of a fight well fought, Yeon-joo and Beom-woo also make up and hug it out. Young-hye, too, opens up her own burger place after quitting Motto, hoping to make her own food. It’s difficult, but at least she seems content, and Yu-jin joins her as well. Meanwhile, we get Weak Hero and Tastefully Yours clashing with each other in a rather surprising scene.

Back in Seoul, while Yeo-ul continues to be greedy, at least Seon-woo seems to have changed as he helps those that Hansang had wronged over the years. As for Beom-woo, he returns to Jungjae, completely at home and at peace with Yeon-joo, who is ecstatic to see him.

All’s well that ends well, and that’s absolutely true for Tastefully Yours finale, which is full of melodrama and warmth that we all wanted. The last episode was sweet and ended the way that you’d expect. I have a few questions, but I am aware that those don’t matter at this point. Is it the perfect ending? Not really. But it made me smile widely, and I am thankful that it was a happy ending. What a great few weeks this was!
