Task Episode 6 Recap

Picking up from last week, Tom and his crew face off against Robbie while the Dark Hearts lie waiting. A random shot, however, throws things into disarray as everyone starts shooting everyone, and Robbie makes an escape. Tom catches up to him, and in a rather surprising twist, it turns out that Robbie and Tom are now working together. When Perry and Jayson make their way to their hideout, Robbie makes a swift escape and leaves Tom in the house, but that, too, fails, and a fight ensues.

Robbie eventually throws the drugs in the river, but is stabbed by Jayson regardless. As Jayson and Perry attempt to escape, they run over Lizzie, who doesn’t hear their truck barrelling down the road thanks to a gunshot previously. Meanwhile, Robbie dies of his injuries in Tom’s arms. And just like that, the investigation ends, and their work is handed over to others, leaving everyone involved frustrated.

However, the problems have just started for Anthony, who might be in a world of trouble for his involvement in leaking information to the Dark Hearts. Michael Dorsey, another corrupt cop and Anthony’s senior, threatens to keep the thing under wraps, fearing everyone to be blown up if Anthony doesn’t keep his mouth shut. However, with Lizzie’s death, things might get a bit more complicated. Elsewhere, Tom gives the news of Robbie’s death to Maeve and learns that Cliff was abducted after a changed plan to meet them… which is interesting because no one from his team changed the plan.

Later, Tom brings Sam home, much to his daughters’ dismay, but he is unable to shirk responsibilities just like that. The next morning, Tom meets Kathleen and learns that Anthony was the mole in their system. He is absolutely frustrated with the situation, especially because Perry and Jayson are nowhere to be found as well. That night, he visits Anthony and confronts him about asking Cliff to go to Wissahickon Park. However, he doesn’t confess to anything. In the end, Tom promises to nab him no matter what.

He ropes Aleah in on the information, while Jayson and Perry find the bag of drugs. Elsewhere, Shelley gives Maeve the bag of drugs – as it turns out, the bag that Robbie was carrying was only a decoy.

I think this episode was absolutely tense as things come to a head and the truth is finally revealed. It’s heartbreaking in a sense as well because a lot of lives are destroyed thanks to the selfishness of a select few. In the end, the episode leaves us wanting more, and with one more episode to go, I can’t help but wonder whether we will be able to get to a satisfying conclusion. Of course, the series has been nothing but fantastic, so I hope that things get absolutely thrilling!
