Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Overview
Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 (구미호뎐 1938) is a sequel to the much-loved fantasy Kdrama of the same named and is directed by Kang Shin-hyo and Jo Nam-hyung. The Kdrama stars Lee Dong-wook, Kim So-yeon, Kim Bum, Ryu Kyung-soo, Kim Young-ji, and Hwang Hee alongside other cast members.
The sequel brings the gumiho Lee Yeon away from his happy ending and back to the year 1938 where he once again comes face to face with his brother Lee Rang and Ryu Hong-joo. Now, he has to find a way to return to the present and to his loved one, but this isn’t something that will come to him easily.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:20 PM KST timeslot previously occupied by Pandora Beneath the Paradise.

The synopsis of the show reads: “Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 tells the story where Lee Yeon was dragged back in time to the year 1938 unexpectedly due to certain events that happened after the end of season 1, where he met Lee Rang and Ryu Hong-joo of that era.”

The godly trio struggle to fight against the shinigami mercenaries, however, the troubles go beyond them as Yeo-hee is soon targeted by Yuki. Meanwhile, Yeon finds out what Moo-young plans to do, but fails to stop him time.
On the other hand, Rang asks him to have his back in the fight that is soon to break out.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Episode 10 Recap
Yeon exchanges the golden ruler for an antidote after Hong-joo and Moo-young are poisoned. Later, he goes out to put himself as bait and lure the demons, however, he falls into Nyudo’s trap as he switched their bodies. Nyudo then moves on to trick Hong-joo and Moo-young while Yeon comes face to face with the other Japanese demons.
He then finds out that the leader of the mercenaries is someone else and he is at the hotel right now.
Elsewhere, Rang fights to protect Yeo-hee, but fails when Yeo-hee is bitten by a Yacha. Later, Jae-yoo tells him how to save Yeo-hee and he leaves to get the iris pistils that can save her. As he begins the plan, the Hypnotic specialist’s assistant creates trouble for them after which they leave him behind for the Yachas.
However, what they don’t know is that this seemingly weak assistant is none other than the mercenaries leader- Satori.
