He tells them that Hong-joo and Moo-young have been poisoned after inhaling the poisonous gas he had let out. He then puts forth an exchange, the antidote for the treasures.
The trio fool him and capture him after which begins Hong-joo’s torture to get the antidote. However, he does not give up and bears through it until Hong-joo kills him. Meanwhile, Rang continues to defend Yeo-hee while dealing with the Yachas and is able to return to his room with Yeo-hee.

However, a Yacha had been waiting in his room and soon attacks Yeo-hee. Elsewhere, the mercenaries Yuki and Ookama head out to look for Woosiwoochibo only to find him dead. While Yeon takes his two friends along in search of another demon to give them the antidote, they come face to face with Yuki.
Hong-joo notices her advances towards Yeon and steps forth to stop her in her grave condition. Yuki then hears Ookama and begins to leave while Yeon follows her for the antidote. He soon catches up with her and hands over the golden ruler in exchange for the antidote.

Back at the Bancho Hotel, Rang and Yeo-hee share a heartbreaking moment as the former hands over the rings Yeon had gifted him earlier. Meanwhile, Hye-ja sees Eun-ho with Ryuhei Kato and warns her that the man she is about to marry is not a human. Eun-ho understands why her sister died and soon comes up with a plan looking at the dynamites in Hye-ja’s hands.
Elsewhere, Yeon comes back with the antidote and tells Hong-joo and Moon-young about the golden ruler. Moon-young is unable to believe that the antidote is real listening to which Yeon decides to test the antidote on himself. Soon, they find out that the antidote is in fact real, however, this time Yeon is not ready to hand it over this easily.
He tells them about the Japanese demons and makes them agree to take part in getting rid of them. The two comply and take in the antidote. Elsewhere, the mercenary Nyudo finds out about what has happened and makes his way to trick Yeon.

At the afterlife immigration office, Taluipa plans to meet the King of Five Paths once again and find out what Moo-young came to this era for. Back at the Bando Hotel, Shin-joo, Jae-yoo and the bandit boss meet Rang and find out what happened. Jae-yoo tells them that there is a way to save Yeo-hee and for that, they would need some brewed iris pistils.
Shin-joo then remembers having seen them earlier in the hotel and they plan to get their hands on the pistils. While Jae-yoo refuses to take part in this mission, the others make a move only to see a crowd of Yachas waiting for them.

Elsewhere, Yeon fills up the two with information on the Japanese demons after which he plans to present himself as bait for the demons. He then asks the two to rest while he tries to lure a demon, unaware that Hong-joo has made her move and gets her hand on the guardian stone in his pocket.
Back at Bando Hotel, Rang begins his plan to divert the Yachas’ attention when they meet the assistant of the Hypnosis specialist who does more damage than help them. Elsewhere, Yeon meets Nyudo and recognises him soon, however, this does not save him from the demon who is able to switch bodies.

Being unaware of his powers, Yeon is unable to stop him in time and ends up in Nyudo’s body. However, the two are shocked when they find out that the guardian stone is not in Yeon’s pocket. But Nyudo doesn’t mind the slight delay as he moves to lure Hong-joo and Moo-young into his trap.

Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 Episode 10 Review
Neverending troubles bring more intensity to Yeon’s last days in 1938 and this is also building up the anticipation of how this story will end in just 2 more episodes. With trouble befalling himself and the people he loves, what will be the result of this chaos?
Episode 10 brings the intensity of the show to another high as the leader of the Japanese demons finally shows up and he is close proximity to the person Yeon cares about the most. However, knowing that there are just 2 more episodes to go, it really makes me wonder how everything is to settle down in this limited time.
This episode has really got Yeon surrounded by troubles from all sides while throwing him into the enemy’s den. Altogether, the episode is the beginning to the end.
