Taj Divided by Blood Ending Explained

After Anarkali is discovered by accident by Salim, things take a turn for the worst as he falls madly in love with her. The secret that Akbar wanted to keep hidden so desperately started to come to the surface, causing utter chaos. With every moment of Salim and Anarkali growing closer, growing by leaps and bounds, it ends in him getting more and more against his parents’ wishes.

On the other hand, Daniyal and Murad face their own issues, with Daniyal getting badly influenced by Badayuni into doing some very questionable things and Murad defying his father and shedding blood to appease his ego.

To control his wayward son, Akbar gets Salim married, but the latter is uninterested in his wife and, later, his son. His two other subsequent wives, too, don’t hold any interest in his heart. The only one who matters to him ends up being Anarkali, who, too, holds a shocking secret in her heart.

In the end, Daniyal’s long-lost mother and Salim’s love story clash as it turns out that Daniyal is Anarkali’s son. The truth about his mother totally shatters Daniyal’s frail mental stability, and the perceived stab in the back from his brother doesn’t help the case either. Having found out about the affair, Akbar orders Salim to be exiled and Anarkali to be entombed alive.

However, there is a catch. Thanks to Birbal’s words, Akbar decides to let Anarkali and Salim run away after entombing her over a secret hatch on the ground. When Daniyal finds out about it, he is overcome with anger and follows after Anarkali in order to murder her. He ends up finding her in the forest and gives her chase, eventually catching up.

On the other hand, on the brink of a war of his own doing, Murad gets poisoned by one of Akbar’s own without anyone’s knowledge.

Elsewhere in the woods, the mother-son duo talk about their past and what they have missed out on, but a somewhat sweet moment is interrupted when Salim gets there, having waited for Anarkali for a long time. Overcome with anger, Daniyal murders his mother and shoots Salim with an array in the ensuing battle, leaving him for dead in the woods and hiding Anarkali’s body.

Eventually, it is revealed that Daniyal, having successfully manipulated the situation, has become Akbar’s favourite to be entrusted with the throne. Meanwhile, Salim is still alive in the woods and is getting treated for his wound. He wishes to find Anarkali’s body and create a beautiful tomb in her honour and then seek revenge for the wrongdoings against her.
