Summer Time Render Episode 25 Review- Death And Birth

Friends Summer Time Render Episode 25

Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened- This was the first thing on my mind after this show ended, and for a good reason. I had the biggest smile on my face when I first saw the show’s final moments, and even now, as I think about it. This really was a show for the ages, one that will be remembered long after it has stopped airing and the general populace has stopped caring. This episode was the perfect sendoff to this tale of death, sadness, destruction and greed, which is wild because the episode featured exactly zero of those things.

We saw the evil of Shide, Hiruko, and the shadows finally get defeated in the previous episode, which could very well have been the show’s last episode, and no one would have batted an eye. However, there was something that needed to be done before this show aired its credits for the final time- something that it had been building towards for all this time, what the characters had been striving and dying for, and what this was all about- a happy ending.

Too long had these characters suffered, been without each other, seen their friends and family get slaughtered and replaced without mercy, and not known a normal life. Before this episode, we had never even seen the island in its natural state. It had been all shadows and murders that we knew it as and nothing more. This episode was created to prove that there was much more to Hitogashima than that- it could be a lovely place full of charming people and phenomenal weather. It just had to get rid of the darkness of the shadows, and it was just like any other town in the world- maybe even slightly better.

Not just the town but the characters had also earned peace. Shinpei had never seen the island with anything but misery ever since he got there, for it had been a place he associated with his dead parents and was now responsible for the death of his best friend. Ushio never got to meet Shinpei after he left. The rest of the town saw its sweetheart and most energetic member perish defending a little child and were now in danger of dying themselves, although unknowingly. If anyone had earned a break, it was these guys. That’s not even including people who died and came back to life (great to see you back, Hizuru. Please don’t leave us again.)

The finale was just an extremely pleasant walk around Hitogashima as we looked at the place as if the shadows had never even existed in the first place. The show’s production had always been phenomenal, but the people behind it saw that the series looked its best as it went off the screen. Everything was bright, colourful, and lovely in contrast to the beginning, and the soundtrack was full of hope and joy instead of being exciting yet stressful. The final loop served the show well and served as the perfect goodbye to the show.

Verdict

Summer Time Render Episode 25 was as perfect of a goodbye as the show could have had. It was enchanting and satisfying, ending the series on an extremely high note.
