Stars at Noon is an upcoming erotic thriller based on a book of the same name written by Denis Johnson and the trailer is bringing out some irresistible steamy and suspense-filled scenes that have got us looking forward to this movie. Directed by Claire Denis, the movie stars Margret Qualley, Joe Alwyn, Danny Ramirez, Benny Safdie, and John C. Reilly, alongside other cast members.
Stars at Noon is set in Nicaragua during the present pandemic era, unlike in the novel which is set during the Nicaraguan Revolution. It tells the story of a young American journalist who falls for a mysterious Englishman whom she sees as a chance to escape the place. However, she soon realises that he may be an even greater danger than she thought.
The trailer of the movie starts off with the journalist Trish making her way to the country and soon getting into the businessman Daniel’s sight. The two soon introduce themselves to each other but when they meet again at a bar, Trish tells him that they have enough time to get “Swacked”.

A flow of passionate scenes between the two is followed by her wish to meet him again, but things get serious when she finds a gun in his bag. Going back to their talk in the bar, he tells her that he is here for a “charitable cause” but she is not interested in the details.
However, after the two get together, she notices the strangeness shrouded in mystery that follows him at all times. She soon meets another man who tells her the kind of place she is in right now, letting her know that she has landed right in a gambler’s paradise.
As questions are put in front of her about Daniel, she too starts thinking about the mess she has fallen into. She wants to escape this place but not alone, and so she is ready to escape the deadly game that is going around in this country as soon as possible and with Daniel.
A series of scenes flow with the special forces of the country and the gamblers involved as they continue to run out of this cage as soon as possible. The trailer then comes to an end by bringing us back to the scene at the bar where Daniel asks about her motives as she answers, “I want to know the exact dimensions of Hell.”

The trailer really gets us looking forward to the thriller that is ready to bring us to the edge of our seats. On the other hand, it also excites fans of the novel because there are definitely going to be differences from the book, starting with the timeline it has been set in.
So don’t miss out on this suspense-filled movie Stars at Noon which is set to release in theatres on October 14, 2022. The movie will also be released on Hulu on October 28, 2022.
