In this episode, Lawrence finds himself more desperate than ever as he faces a critical situation. He needs to secure a large quantity of pyrite in a very short time, but most people have already stockpiled their own supplies, leaving him with few options. With no other choice, Lawrence decides to take an illegal route to obtain the pyrite.

His only hope lies with Dian, a solitary alchemist shunned by many due to her profession. Lawrence knows that Dian might have the pyrite he needs, but first, he has to convince Batos to go along with his risky plan. Despite the dangers, Batos agrees, understanding that Lawrence’s motivations go beyond mere profit.

However, Lawrence’s troubles don’t end there. When he finally reaches Dian, she informs him that another buyer has already requested the pyrite he needs. Although Dian promises to negotiate with the other customer, she can’t guarantee anything.

Later, Lawrence meets with his friend Marc, who helps him realize the mistakes he’s made in recent days. Marc gently criticizes him, leading Lawrence to acknowledge his stubbornness and misguided decisions.

This episode quickly became my favourite of all time as we finally see our couple get past their barriers and become honest with each other. The situation was not a positive one from the beginning, as tension was thick in the air. Lawrence was on the edge because he could feel everything slipping away from his grasp.

To win the bid, he must somehow crash the pyrite market so that Amati can not make a profit and win Holo. But he does not have enough pyrite in his arsenal to sell at the right time and crash the market at an optimal time. To make his plan a success, he must get more pyrite delivered to him from Dian, but that too did not seem achievable as no one from her side was arriving. Thus, starts an intense battle of wit and patience between Lawrence and the market.

This part was very nerve-wracking as you never know what might happen in the end. Lawrence, himself is very negative about the whole thing as he feels Holo is more inclined towards Amati than him. This is because Lawrence feels he is fighting a losing battle and must do his best to win. But what he does not know is that Holo is as in love with him as he is attracted to her.

He later realises that he should never have doubted Holo’s faith and believed in her. But the whole contract with Amati sent him on an ego trip that made him lose confidence in his companion. How they manage to get past their differences and finally accept each other is something that you must witness.

The part where we learn more about Dian and her past was also an unexpected side that gave us more context about the life of Pagan deities. Even though her past might be a sad one it still gave us hope for our couple.

Verdict

I loved today’s episode and the pure passion that we got to see between our couple. Holo and Lawrence are really meant to be together as they both understand each other and even after differences can get back together without fail.
