Slumberland First Look Out: Jason Momoa Has Horns

Whether it’s Game of Thrones or Aquaman, Jason Momoa has become a fan favourite in no time. The actor is all set to entertain the audience with his new film called Slumberland. It’s a Netflix film, and yet again, Momoa will be seen in an unconventional avatar – with horns.

The film is adapted from Little Nemo in Slumberland, and Francis Lawrence helms it. The story is about a young girl named Nema who is on a search mission for her missing father and ends up at the dreamworld called Slumberland.

In the Netflix original film, Jason Momoa will play the role of a 9-foot-tall man-beast called Flip. He has horns on the head and will be Nema’s friend and guide in the search mission.

On its official Twitter page, Netflix film shared two stills from the film. Actress Marlow Barkley plays the role of Nema, and she is seen in one of the stills. They captioned the pics, “No, you’re not dreaming—that’s Jason Momoa with a full set of horns.

Here’s a sneak peek behind the scenes at SLUMBERLAND, a new adventure story about an eccentric outlaw (Momoa) who guides a young hero (Marlow Barkley) through a secret dream world. Coming to Netflix in 2022.”.

Another tweeted, “Jason Momoa is a cool dude. I will definitely watch this movie.”

David Guion and Michael Handelman have written the script of Slumberland. Along with Jason and Marlow, the fantasy-adventure film also stars Weruche Opia, India de Beaufort, Kyle Chandler, and Chris O’Dowd. The premise of the film reads, “A young girl (Marlow Barkley) discovers a secret map to the dreamworld of Slumberland, and with the help of an eccentric outlaw, she traverses through dreams and flees nightmares with the hope that she will see her late father again”.

Meanwhile, the actor is currently enjoying all the massive positive response Zack Snyder’s Justice League has received. The 4-hour long film has been a topic of discussion for the past few weeks, and fans got to see more details about Momoa’s Aquaman. Snyder Cut also stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher and Amy Adams. The film will be streaming on Netflix in 2022, with no specific date announced yet.

Jason will reprise his role of Arthur Fleck in Aquaman 2, which is currently being filmed. Directed by James Wan, the film also stars Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and Nicole Kidman. The sequel is slated to release on December 16, 2022.

Jason Momoa also has Dune releasing this year. Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film also stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Dave Bautista and Josh Brolin. Dune is expected to hit the cinema halls this year in October.
