Amazon Prime released its latest romantic film Sita Ramam that released on the streaming platform on September 9, 2022. The film follows the life of Ram a Lieutenant in the army who receives mystery love letters from a woman who claims to be his wife. He goes on a journey to find the identity of the woman and on meeting her, they begin their magical love story that is brought to a halt when Ram must go on his secret mission.
In a time where it can be challenging to find the beauty in life and romanticize the little things. This movie takes us back to old-time love filled with longing, patience and sacrifices.
The film stars Dulquer Salmaan as Ram, Mrunal Thakur as Princess Noor aka Sita, Rashmika Mandanna as Afreen, Sumanth as Brigadier Vishnu and Bhoomika Chawla as Vaidehi Sharma to name a few.

Ram and Sita’s Love Montage
The heart of any good romantic movie is when the two lovers finally get together and we see the first moments of love blossoming. It’s even better when there’s a beautiful song playing in the background to commemorate the start of a love story. The small glances, the slight touch of a hand, and the sudden rain are enough to give you the feels.
The Adorable Friendship between Afreen and Balaji
While the relationship between Ram and Sitalakshmi is magical and timeless. The friendship between Afreen and Balaji is something to look out for. When Afreen first meets Balaji, she sees him as this annoying inconvenience whose help she needs to deliver the letter. However, as they travel together we see how their friendship blossoms to the point when Afreen gets arrested, Balaji rushes to Sita to make sure she receives Ram’s letter.

When Ram tracks every single train to find Sita
After receiving letter after letter with no address in sight, Ram finally gets Sita’s address and immediately goes on a trip to find her. After spending hours checking each cabin with no luck he reaches the last cabin to finally realize that he has found his mystery woman. He gives her all the letters that he had saved for her to read. When she opens them and smiles his heart melts.
When Ram leaves Sita for his secret mission
Just when Ram and Sita are finally happy after the chaos of Sita having to leave her home. Ram is called on a dangerous mission and has to say goodbye to Sita. Both of them embrace as Sita is in tears and cannot bear to leave him. She makes him promise to return back to her before the patch of his torn uniform has dried.
Sita receives Ram’s last letter
This scene is perhaps the most heartbreaking one in the movie. Having seen Ram’s persistence and his ability to get out of any situation as an audience you are rooting for Sita and Ram to finally return to each other. So when Sita finally receives Ram’s letter and discovers that he will never return to her. That moment is truly devastating. But we do find out that Ram knew she was Princess Noor Jahan all along.
