The trailer for the upcoming dramedy Showing Up has been released on Youtube and other social media platforms. The two-minute and two-second official clip gives us a brief idea about the plot, which tells the story of finding work-life balance in creative pursuits. Moreover, Kelly Reichardt (First Cow, Uncertain Women), serves as the director, while Christopher Blauvelt heads the cinematography department.

The complete cast of the flick includes Michelle Williams, Hong Chau, Lauren Lakis, Denzel Rodriguez, Jean-Luc Boucherot, Ted Rooney, Maryann Plunkett, Heather Lawless, Ben Coonley, Chase Hawkins, Izabel Mar, James Le Gros, Holly Osborne and others. Furthermore, the total runtime of the movie includes one hour and forty-eight minutes.
The trailer starts in a rather off-beat manner and finds Lizzy (Michelle Williams), indulging in normal day-to-day activities. It further introduces us to the artist inside Lizzy, who is trying her best to find peace, in the chaos of life. She is a sculptor by profession and is surrounded by a common circle of friends.
The official clip shows us the brooding Lizzy and her hunch for cracking the right balance of creativity. It exudes all vibes of an Indie flick and looks like a deep and rigid character study. The trailer also doesn’t reveal much and successfully drapes the core plot of the film in secret. At last, it leave us with a unique expression of creativity, from the acclaimed filmmaker.

Notably, the film is written by Jon Raymond and Kelly Reichardt and was part of the 2022 Cannes Film festival, where it competed in the main category. Moreover, the movie is produced by Neil Kopp, Vincent Savino, and Anish Savjani under the banner of FilmScience.
Showing up is distributed by A24 films and will also mark the fourth collaboration of Michelle Williams with director and editor Kelly Reichardt. It had a premiere at the Cannes film festival and has a soothing score given by Ethan Rose.
