Shark Tank India Season 2 episode 17 premiered on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television on January 24, 2023, at 10PM IST. Payel Seth is the show’s creative director, while it’s been produced by Studio NEXT, with Ravikesh Vatsa as its writer. The latest episode’s official longline reads, “A mix of ayurvedic and modern ingredients by ‘Avimee Herbal’, affordable eyewear by ‘Eyenic’, and a sustainable artisanal brand by ‘Ekatra’. Will the pitchers get their desired investment?” Unfortunately, despite the teams leading by example with their strong pitches, the reactions for this episode are majorly disrupted by the fans’ rage directed at the streaming platform’s glitches that broke the flow of the show miserably.
Viewers have already voiced their strong opposition against the numerous advertisements that roll out during the episode run in the given one hour timeframe schedule. However, the new episode made matters even worse with the stream getting cut off midway, disrupting the ongoing pitches. As the broadcast stopped without any prior warnings, fans couldn’t catch some pitches as and when they were supposed to be presented.
Moving past this show, the episode saw a rival company walking on to the set, which refreshed the viewers’ memories of a similar pitch that drove a hate-chain against the sharks when they decided not to invest in Recode due to Vineeta Singh’s cosmetics brand Sugar. During the seventeenth episode, an affordable and trendy eyewear brand, ‘Eyenic’ was keen on winning the sharks over. However, the audiences couldn’t help but experience a sense of deja vu with how the founders of the team were treated despite Peyush Bansal claiming that he’s always open to investing in other eyewear businesses and further stated the reason why he couldn’t join hands with them today.
