Sharey Showlo Review
This thriller series, with a tragedy at its very beginning and the fallout from it following the characters around throughout the rest of the runtime, is a confusing little mystery that follows the lives of several characters as they try to understand this Empire vs Kepler trial that will take place. The incident itself is a matter of an evening, but we follow the characters and their motivations over the course of years because, as mentioned previously, the core element is a tragedy from a few years prior.

The series has a very noir feeling to it, and the background score adds to the experience. It actually goes well with the subject matter and makes you feel a bit more invested than you actually are. There are two questions in the 6 episodes of this series that are important to be answered – who murders Natasha, and who caused the accident? However, these two questions are only left on the back burner as we focus on every person in a very botched plan.
This is such a weird show. Apart from the fun background score, the series goes back and forth from the present to wherever it needs to go in order to tell us what each of the players’ vested interests is in this story and why they are where they are. However, for a good chunk of the runtime, you are left wondering what even is happening and why we are being subjected to so much exposition. Most of the scenes repeat themselves with some new tidbits added. At the end of the day, the exposition all comes down to the simple fact that everyone is connected and everyone is corrupt.

It’s not a new message; neither is it a very good one – you want to be thrilled, but the constant back and forth gets very annoying and confusing after a while. That being said, I think the series is more of a dialogue-based thriller than it is an action-based one. The different threads of conversations, the different people associated with them and the shocking additions are quite interesting to watch for the most part. The actors, also, are quite competent, which adds to the interest in watching a dialogue-heavy show.
However, the point of the show isn’t the murder – it’s the issues that the poverty-stricken have to go through to get justice. The point is probably to showcase how those who need the guidance of the powerful and rich are the ones who are always on the receiving end of their greed and selfishness. It’s shown pretty well; the footage that ends every episode is quite catching, and, even if we see it for a few minutes, it makes its impact known.
In the end, Sharey Showlo‘s murder-mystery plot ends up being nothing but a farce. There’s not much that keeps you hooked other than some moments. However, it’s cleverly put together, and for those who like a somewhat slow and twisty mystery thriller, this one might just be interesting enough. However, this will be a one-time watch for most.
Sharey Showlo Review: Final Thoughts

Hoichoi’s mystery-thriller Sharey Showlo boasts a good cast and several twists in the span of 6 episodes, and for most of its runtime, it tells us why these people are in their current predicament. Similarly, for most of its runtime, while explaining that the rich are gonna rich, the series neither presents a good mystery nor a good payoff for what it established in its first episode.
Sharey Showlo is streaming on Hoichoi.
