Well, this is a surprise. A broken elevator meet led to such a sweet love story in Netflix’s Sex Education Season 4. Aimee decides to take Art class, and Isaac is also a part of them. The two first become good friends, understand each other’s thoughts, and work perfectly. They soon realise they have feelings beyond friendship for each other. However, Aimee decides to talk to Maeve first before continuing her relationship with Isaac.

Initially, Maeve feels uncomfortable about Aimee dating her ex Isaac. However, towards the end of the show, she tells them she would be happy for them if they were together. She wasn’t okay initially because she was afraid to lose them both as friends. Maeve and Isaac finally start dating and become one of the cutest couples in the Sex Education series.
Sex Education Season 4 Ending Explained: What Does Eric Decide to Do?
The series focused on Eric’s dilemma of whether he should get baptised or not, as his mother kept pressuring him. However, he realises that the Church considers being queer a sin. Eric stands up in front of everyone in the church and tells everyone that he loves himself the way he is, even if it’s a “sin” for others. He refuses to get baptised as he isn’t pleased with the Church’s regressive thinking. However, Eric’s Pastor requests him to help him and others in the Church be more open and understanding towards different communities.

Eric also meets a stranger who mysteriously helps him realise what’s right and wrong. It switches on something in Eric, and he decides to be a Pastor.
Sex Education Season 4 Ending Explained: Why Did Maeve and Otis Break Up?
Otis and Maeve are in a long-distance relationship, and things get awkward from the start. However, the tragic death of Maeve’s mother brings her back to Moordale. At her university back in America, Maeve realises that being a writer is not easy. She doubts herself and decides to stay in Moordale.
When Otis’ mother, Jean, invites Maeve, the duo have a heartfelt conversation. Jean helps Maeve realise she is talented and confident and shouldn’t doubt herself. Jean helps Maeve realise that she wants to return to America and achieve her dreams. After dinner, Maeve and Otis spend a romantic night together. Maeve tells Otis that she wants to go back to America and continue following the path she had initially chosen. The couple realises that she might never return and mutually break up.

At the end of the series, Maeve’s writing dreams take their first step as she receives appreciation for her writing. On the other hand, the episode ends with Otis reading a bittersweet and warm handwritten note that Maeve kept in his room before leaving.
