As the last few hours of the ‘SEVENTEEN turns 8’ day remain, it’s time that we recalled some of the chaotic moments shared by the thirteen members – S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. There’s no end to this list, but, for now, we’ll go with those numbers that still have us laughing like there’s no tomorrow. The ultimate source of these antics is derived from some of the best GOING SEVENTEEN moments, and so, the instances listed below will mostly include examples from the group’s original variety series.
(Ps. I haven’t included any scene from the ‘SVT Sideout’ or ‘Debate Night’ series, because truth be told, the entirety of those episodes are chaos personified.)
SEVENTEEN Turns 8: Times When the K-pop Group’s Chaotic Energy Took Over
1. Hoshi Teaching the Clown Character the ‘Left and Right’ Choreography Before the Song Had Released
Paired up with Joshua for ‘The Tag’ Episode 2, Hoshi kept his calm as opposed to what the members expected of him. Firstly, he tried to give away Joshua’s location to the hindering walking horrors in their path. Betraying his partner, he then formed an alliance with the clowns scaring them off and stopping them from finding the lock’s key. Later on, he even put on a performance for the enemies, started dancing and taught them the Left and Right choreography even before the song had been officially released.
2. Seungkwan Flying Off the “Magic Carpet” Moment
In moments like these, SEVENTEEN prove that one best friend’s pain (not literally) is often the other’s laughing pill. While playing the human version of a Chess game, the group members also introduced a set of challenges along the way that had them partaking different missions. During one of those challenges, Seungkwan takes on Dino to race across the other end of the board the fastest. Doing so, he nearly flies off even further upon losing balance, and it all makes for a great laugh session among the rest. Thankfully, he wasn’t hurt, and rather laughed it off himself.
3. It’s Hoshi Vs Mingyu Everytime They Shoot the ‘Don’t Lie’ Series
4. The Punishment ‘Orange’ Game Being Funnier Than the Entirety of ‘Mousebusters’ Series
5. SEVENTEEN’s Never-Ending Drinking Games
Whenever it comes to their annual celebrations on the ‘TTT’ segment, an informal set of episodes that allow the members to be their most unfiltered selves as possible, you best believe that SVT will bring their endless scheme of drinking games, the rules for which are just as blurry to the members as they are to the fans.
6. BSS Comeback Time: Hoshi Suggesting the ‘Tiger’ Concept for Everyone and Revealing Their Costumes
Hoshi’s evergreen love for tigers will live on till the end of the world, but the members’ rib-tickling reactions opposing this agenda is what makes it all the more entertaining. During the BSS trio’s (Seungkwan, DK, Hoshi) comeback preparations, their production team released a short spin-off series of the GOING SEVENTEEN segment, featuring their candid and made-up talks regarding their (then) upcoming debut album.
When it was Hoshi’s turn to present his ideas to the rest of the trio, he presented them with two set of costumes – the cuter one for Seungkwan, and its ferocious and charismatic equivalent for DK. The sight of these costumes was one to behold indeed.
7. SEVENTEEN’s Unique Version of the ‘Red Light Green Light’ Game
8. DK and Jeonghan’s Little Skits
In a jaw-dropping mind-blowing food fight concocted in the minds of Jeonghan and DK, the two members filmed a ‘Hungry Villain’ skit for the ‘How to Eat Rice the Perfect Way’ Episode 2. The whole thing had their fellow members facepalming till the end, leaving their eyes wide open with awe, while the chaotic duo suffered through first-hand embarrassment while rehearsing for it. Plus, if that wasn’t enough, their fiery performance was followed by yet another mind-boggling water-spilling scene brought on by Joshua.

SPECIAL MENTIONS
Chaotic SEVENTEEN never goes out of style, so here is more of their adorable silliness to keep you entertained.
The Member Being Pranked and Spooked During the MBTI Series
Taking their MBTI tests for the first time, all 13 members became part of an extended hidden cam prank when left alone in a shady room to complete the test and their interview. Crew members disguised as mannequins took to the corners and spooked the members one by one at irregular intervals, while the rest of the group watched the whole thing go down and laughed out loud in a separate room.
SEVENTEEN Making Up a Whole New Step for Their Choreography Only to Prank Mingyu
While preparing for their Golden Disk Awards performance, Mingyu again became prey to his members’ never ending pranks. That particular moment of the video has now also become the most replayed bit.
Them Reacting to Each Other’s Videos and Imitating Each Other
Having collaborated with Lee Hi in 2021, Mingyu and Wonwoo released their special unit track Bittersweet, and of course, that welcomed a hilarious streak of reactions from the rest of the group members. Sitting down all together to watch the final result, their teammates couldn’t stop joking about how Wonwoo was spotted running in the MV, especially when imitating the way he runs has been a long-running inside joke for the group. They again cracked the same uproarious stunt in Game Caterers. Other than that, the members constantly kept puling Mingyu’s leg and teasing him about his gesture recorded during the final moments of the video.
Joshua and Vernon Being Dino and Jeonghan’s English Teachers
Yet another one of the most replayed sections on their video – Joshua and Vernon’s English lessons for Dino and Jeonghan went viral on the SEVENTEEN GOING Radio Show.
Just Joshua Being Himself
His antics even had Dino claiming that there should be a special episode curated for him. During their recent feature on Na PD’s Game Caterers episodes, Joshua’s new interpretation of EXO’s Love Shot choreography had all the crew members of the show and his fellow members rolling on the floor. Moreover, you won’t catch any other SVT member standing in the shower with their umbrella on to experience a rainy day except Hong Joshua.
Hoshi, Jeonghan, The8, DK, Mingyu, and Jun Appealing Woozi to Join Their Team in the Let’s Go SEVENTEEN Episode
Encore, synchronised dance sessions to serenade the MC of the day – just another day in SVT land.
