See You in My 19th Life Overview

See You in My 19th Life (이번 생도 잘 부탁해) is a South Korean romantic comedy-drama series that is based on the webtoon of the same name by Lee Hye. Directed by Lee Na Jung and screenplay by Choi Young Rim, the fantasy series follows the story of Ban Ji-eum, who has an extraordinary ability to remember all the memories of all her past lives.

The fantasy series stars Shin Hye-sun and Ahn Bo-hyun in the lead role alongside Ha Yoon-Kyung, Ahn Dong-goo, Cha Chung-hwa, Baek Seung-chul, Lee Jae-kyoon, Kim Si-a, Lee Hae-young, Bae Hae-sun, Bin Chan-uk, Lee Chae-min and others. Following a fatal accident in her past life, Ji-eum decides to reconnect with all the people she lost in her new incarnation. However, her goal is more difficult to achieve than it seems.

The series is executive produced by Kim Sun-tae and Jung Hyun-wook alongside Lee Ji-yoon produces it. It takes over tvN’s Saturday and Sunday 9:20 KST slot previously occupied by Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938.

Netflix’s synopsis of the show reads as: “Ban Ji-eum can endlessly reincarnate. But when her 18th life gets cut short, she dedicates the next one to finding her now grown-up childhood love.”

In the next episode, Seo-ha’s feelings are more confused as he starts seeing Ju-won in Ji-eum. Moreover, the relationship between Du-yon and Cho-won is blooming. An imminent threat to Jieeum’s existence is beginning to develop, will she able to overcome it? It will only be revealed in the upcoming episode.

Seo-ha and Do-yun both arrive at Cho-won’s garden, and suddenly, Ji-eum also appears. Cho-won and Ji-eum hold a casual conversation, during which Cho-won brings up her late sister Ju-won. Ji-eum gets surprised when she hears the name and mistakenly drops the tray of cups. Hearing the loud sound, both Seo-ha and Do-yun arrive at the scene. However, both of them reveal to Cho-won that she has been recruited to work for the hotel as a florist.

Seo-ha keeps trying to avoid Ji-eum, but his efforts go in vain. Ji-eum consistently expresses her feelings towards him, but he rejects them all. Then she asks for three more chances for him, and she is confident that she will succeed. On the other hand, Cho-won asks Do-yun on a date; however, he rejects it as it might affect their future professional relationship. Nevertheless, there are clear indications that he likes her back too.

As Ji-eum is walking down the road, she encounters a mysterious man who gives her an eerie feeling. Meanwhile, Seo-ha has some trouble in the workplace involving his stepmother which creates further turmoil inside him. As he was driving in the car, he see Ji-eum running away from a man on a busy road. Ji-eum is followed by her brother, who demands money from her, but fortunately, Seo-ha appears and saves her from the situation.

Ji-eum and Seo-ha both go to a nearby shop to share a meal together. After having a few drinks, he becomes extremely intoxicated and unable to walk. Cho-won suddenly appears and offers help when she sees Seo-ha drunk. Cho-won and Ji-eum both drop him at his house. However, while Ji-eum was helping him sleep, her face reminds him of the past accident. He holds Ji-eum’s hand and sobs in his sleep while calling out Ju-won’s name.
