The horror genre is about to get served with a new film set to release in March. The Scream VI new stills are here, and they are already building excitement for the movie with the Ghostface tease and Courtney Cox’s return to the franchise. While there is definitely an expansive lore for this series of films, the remake is set to be whip-smart. As mentioned before, the FRIENDS actor will return for this film, and there are going to be new cast members in the movie.
This film stars Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega and Hayden Panettiere. Other cast members like Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Samara Weaving, and Tony Revolori were added later. Scream VI will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, and the movie will be produced by William Sherak, James Vanderbilt and Paul Neinstein.
The teaser shows the group on the train on a Halloween night. As the lights start flickering, the Ghostface makes its way closer to the group. This is perhaps the only thing we know about the film apart from the premise, which reads, “Four survivors of the original Ghostface killings attempt to leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh start.”
In the last film, the character Tara Carpenter was left injured after a slashing incident by the Ghostface. When her sister Sam finds out about the same, she comes to Woodsboro and meets Tara’s friend group. One of them is killed by the murderer that night, and Sam tells Tara that Billy Loomis is actually her father, and that is why she left from here.

So, Sam goes to Dewy Riley so they can contact Gale Weathers and Sidney Prescott in finding the killer. They then deduce that the killer is following a requel where they follow a parallel narrative in killing the next generation of the original victims. The new stills show Chad, Jasmin, Sam and Tara huddling together. While the next still shows Gale Weathers making her way in a dingy elevator riddled with cobwebs.

Williams also makes an appearance while looking pensive, speaking into the phone. Kirby is seen with a blonde haircut which many fans are having a good time making fun of. Sam and Tara are also seen in a still, dishevelled surrounded by police officers.
They look horrified by something happening in front of them. Ghostface also makes a cameo in the stills, really doing justice to the name slasher horror as a knife whips in the frame.
Scream V (2022) is currently streaming on Prime Video.
