Romance in the House Episode 6 Review: Moo-jin Continues to Woo Ae-yeon

Romance in the House Episode 6 brings Ae-yeon and Moo-jin closer after her misunderstanding clears and his actions leave her unable to push him away. Meanwhile, Mi-rae and Tae-pyeong’s unexpected meet ends up with them finding themselves in an awkward position.

Romance in the House Episode 6 Recap

Ae-yeon’s questions regarding Jeong-in and Moo-jin’s past keep annoying her as she begins a cleaning session to distract herself while cooling off some of the steam from within. Moo-jin tries to help her with this, but she points at a car parked incorrectly near the gate and asks him to work on getting rid of it.

Getting the task from Ae-yeon, Moo-jin doesn’t ignore it and gets to work soon, which brings about some inconveniences that once again reveal Moo-jin’s strength to the tenants of the villa. Meanwhile, Jeong-in clears up the misunderstanding with Ae-yeon about Moo-jin’s relationship with her. She tells Ae-yeon that he was not the person who left her pregnant, but was a fellow Korean she met in Thailand.

He was the one who helped her return to South Korea and the reason she keeps the picture safe is that it’s the only one she has with her unborn child. She then reveals that Moo-jin sold women’s heels for a living in Thailand, where they would sell out each time he would walk in them, flaunting their beauty. This revelation leaves Ae-yeon shocked as she finds it hard to stop laughing at this image of Moo-jin.

Elsewhere, Moo-jin’s life with Hyeon-jin has begun and he has to begin working on his son while keeping his secret hidden. The next day, Moo-jin walks into Ae-yeon’s workplace and tries to purchase all the goods she is in charge of. He then catches her when she is leaving work and hands over the things he knows she needs and likes. From her favourite snack to heating pads and supplements, he had prepared it all.

While these gestures bring about a new wave of confusion to Ae-yeon, Mi-rae tells her about their upcoming trip to Thailand, which leaves her shocked. While Ae-yeon is ready to go on the trip with her, Mi-rae has a bomb dropped on her when she is told that the product she worked so hard for will have its launch earlier than expected.

Reluctant to give up on her trip with her mother, Mi-rae suggests launching the product even earlier with the reason put their competitors behind. She begins the preparations and begins with her all-nighters to see through her plan. Meanwhile, Tae-pyeong decides to attend a memorial service but is pulled into some family drama which makes him lose his cool.

Elsewhere, Ae-yeon finds out about Hyeon-jin dropping out of school and is sent to Moo-jin to take care of. This leaves her annoyed by her parenting skills as she goes to the batting arena to blow off some steam. There she meets Moo-jin who sees her state and suggests getting some drinks.

Some drinks later, Ae-yeon cries about how she has been a bad parent to both her children and wishes she had been a better parent. Now, she is unable to face her children, especially Mi-rae because of her incompetency in being a good mother. This makes Moo-jin guilty as he tells her that she has done a good job, especially after their divorce.

While Ae-yeon continues to unburden herself in front of Moo-jin, Mi-rae comes across a waster Tae-pyeong and decides to help him out after finding him sleeping on the roadside. However, this leads to her struggling with him as he falls unconscious on her without telling her his address leaving Mi-rae no option but to settle him in a nearby motel.

Unexpectedly, Moo-jin also has to settle Ae-yeon in a motel when she refuses to go back home and walks into the motel to spend the night. But the bad luck doesn’t end here and Mi-rae finds herself opening the door of the room next to her parents’ room, who too are trying to open the door.

The four people are shocked as Mi-rae questions her parents while Ae-yeon jumps on Tae-pyeong and later Mi-rae.

Romance in the House Episode 6 Review

The first half of the Kdrama has finally come to an end and we are prepared to see the craziness of this show getting even better hereon. The plot is certainly dropping quite a few surprise bombs here and there, including Moo-jin’s occupation in Thailand, which has to be the highlight of the episode today.

While one secret of Moo-jin is surely out, there is more that needs to be revealed, and this revelation is what we can expect from the upcoming week onwards. Alongside this, we can also begin to witness the blooming love between the young and old as their unexpected journeys bring about beautiful results.

Finally, I am also intrigued by Mi-rae’s comments in the previous episode about Moo-jin not wanting to be a parent. Altogether, he excitement is only beginning as we are prepared for the rollercoaster that is waiting for us all ahead.
