Roar Twitter Reactions: Viewers Call it Apple TV+’s Black Mirror

Roar, a dark anthology series, is now out on Apple TV+. Created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, the star cast includes Nicole Kidman, Judy Davis, Meera Syal, Issa Rae, Alison Brie, Judy Davis, Kara Hayward and several others. With eight episodes of 40 minutes approx, the series has managed to stun the audience in the best way. After watching the series, some viewers took to Twitter to share their reactions. Some people compared the show with ‘GLOW’, a comedy series by Liz and Carly. However, many tweeted that it reminded them a lot of Netflix’s sci-fi anthology series, Black Mirror.

One person wrote, “I’m already obsessed with episode 3. It came out swinging.” Another person tweeted, “I’ve watched #roar twice on Apple TV. Issa Rae did phenomenal in the first episode.”

Someone called it feminist Black Mirror and tweeted, “#Roar is good – a feminist of color Black Mirror ????”. Another tweet read, “#Roar is good! It’s definitely half Black Mirror and half Twilight Zone. Featuring ambitious and challenging concepts of storytelling, but there are some hit or miss episodes with a very talented cast. I would say it’s a decent watch on AppleTV. ????????”

Meanwhile, Leisurebyte’s Roar review mentions, “It is an enjoyable and eye-opening series. But, with that being said, it might not just be everyone’s cup of tea. The series has its light and funny moments but, it also takes dark psychological turns that might make a lot of viewers uncomfortable toppled with out-of-the-box storylines.” You can read the full review here.
