Revenant Episode 11 Recap
Hae-sang tells San-young and Hongsae that on the sacred day, February 28, the evil spirit cannot take any action. So they all plan to investigate about the spirit on that very day to evade consequences. Since Chi-won knows that Hae-sang’s grandmother is the one who killed his son, Woo-jin, he assists in Hae-sang’s plan.
Hae-sang’s grandmother trusts Kim Chi-won so much that she has no idea about the days and dates until Chi-won tells her. Hence, Chi-won changes the calendar date to February 27 when it’s actually February 28. San-young pretends like she is possessed and meets the old lady. During the conversation, the grandmother calls out the name “Hyangi.” San-young then reveals that she wasn’t possessed and walks away with the name.
Hae-sang’s grandmother starts acting aggressively and so Chi-won admits her to the hospital where they killed his son. He requests the staff to not open her door until he says. Before the clock ticks 12, San-young goes to her grandmother’s place and locks herself inside the room that has the line of distribution tied around it. But somehow, the evil spirit tricks and gets out to try and murder Hae-sang and Hongsae.

Thankfully, San-young rushes back to her grandmother’s place right on time and locks herself. It is then, the evil spirit tells her that she’s going to kill her mother, Gyeong-mun. San-young runs to her mother’s cafe only to witness the evil spirit forcing her mother to hang herself. San-young takes a glass shard and stabs her neck threatening the evil spirit that if she kills her mother, she’ll kill herself as well. The evil spirit stops her moves and possesses San-young before leaving to kill Hae-sang’s grandmother.
Meanwhile, Hongsae finds all the details regarding Lee Hyangi from Jangjin-ri middle school. Hae-sang also retrieves the final object but believes there’s more to it. At the hospital, when the evil spirit confronts Hae-sang’s grandmother, the backstory is shown. Apparently, Choi Manwol chose Lee Hyangi as the victim but when she overhears her parents talking about her death, she decides to swap the place with her sister.
Lee Hyangi’s mother then dies by suicide as she’s not ready to witness her younger daughter’s death. Similarly, Lee Hyangi’s father and her elder brother also die in a boat accident. A depressed Lee Hyangi pleads with Choi Manwol to return her sister. When Lee Hyangi meets Mokdan in a deadly state, Manwol immediately stabs and kills Mokdan, triggering Hyangi’s anger. Then she decides to starve Hyangi as she’ll become a wicked juvenile ghost, much stronger than Mokdan.

Hongsae and Hae-sang visit the latter’s paternal home to find the body of Lee Hyangi. Hae-sang and Hongsae go to the forbidden part of the estate only to discover a secret passageway. As they go further, they dig a spot and find Hyangi’s skeleton. At the same time, San-young kills Hae-sang’s grandmother. As she walks by, the spirit of Hyangi hugs her and asks her to not let her go but San-young requests her to go back to where she came from.
She then asks San-young a favour. San-young calls Hae-sang and tells him that Hyangi asked her to find the remains and give them a proper burial. San-young warns Hae-sang to not find it because the evil spirit has been purposely asking them to retrieve objects. The call immediately cuts when Hae-sang finds the missing piece of the last object, which is the jade pin of Choi Manwol.
Another flashback is shown where Hyangi stabs Choi Manwol with the jade pin before getting brutally killed. Hyangi holds the broken piece of the pin tightly in her hand so that she will live on forever through the cursed objects. The episode ends with San-young smiling vilely at her shadow.

Revenant Episode 11 Review
It’s so sad that the last episode is going to premiere. The series started off slowly but the last five episodes had all my attention. Episode 11 is one of the painful episodes as we learn about the sad demise of both Lee Mokdan and Lee Hyangi. Both girls could have had a beautiful life but due to the selfishness of the rich people, they were mercilessly sacrificed. In the upcoming last episode, the evil spirit’s life will end but it might also take another soul before it departs.
Revenant is available for streaming on Disney+.
