Revenant Episode 10 Recap
San-young’s mother visits and confronts her. San-young tells her mother to stay away from her because it is dangerous. This statement causes her mother to collapse. She later learns that it is the same dialogue her late father said in 2002, the night when she took San-young away. Meanwhile, Hae-sang goes to his grandmother’s place and demands the real name of the evil spirit’s name but the lady doesn’t bother.
San-young’s mother tells that she noticed her father’s eyes look weird and San-young tells her about her dad’s eye condition. She doesn’t tell her that she’s undergoing the same vision problem. San-young’s mother then reveals that she once saw Kim Chi-won visiting Gang-mu with a bag and a camera in it. San-young now has access to that camera.
San-young then drops at her mother’s cafe and her vision becomes extremely blurry. She hears the evil spirit’s voice say that if she finds the other objects, her vision problem will be solved. San-young meets Hae-sang and tells him about what she saw when she touched the cursed objects. Both of them know that the vision is from the perspective of another who saw the death of Mokdan.

The duo go to an abandoned building to find the other object. After a thorough search, they find the glass bottle. When San-young touches it, she freezes into a creepy position and starts talking on behalf of the spirit. When Hae-sang takes the glass bottle away from her, San-young murmurs about water and jumps down the building.
She rushes to a convenience store and drinks 2 litres of water. She tells Hae-sang that she struggled 7 days without food and water and heard her grandparents telling, “Why is she still alive.” Hae-sang realises that he should find the last object quickly to get to the bottom of the story.

Meanwhile, Hongsae learns that Hae-sang’s dad also had a burnt wrist mark on his hand but he died out of starvation and not suicide. At the hospital where Hae-sang’s father died, a young boy who met with an accident (Woo-jin) also died but his death apparently is a murder. Hae-sang meets with Kim Chi-won and tells him that Woo-jin didn’t die due to an accident but was murdered by his grandmother because he found the family secret. Seems like his mother was also killed because she found out the truth as well.
Back to San-young, she wakes up with cuts on her hand. Hongsae visits San-young and notices her eyes. San-young pretends like she is sick. But when Hongsae catches her tripping and falling down, he aids her. She opens up about her eye disease to him and about the need for the evil spirit to keep her vision strong.
Hongsae adds another piece of bad news stating that the evil spirit’s next target is her mother. Sadly, the previous evening, the possessed San-young signed insurance papers that will provide her with a huge sum of money after her mother’s death.

Hongsae and Hae-sang are determined to find the evil spirit and they request San-young to tell them all the details even if the evil spirit has warned her. She tells him that Munchun was having the details of Mokdan’s family meaning the evil spirit might be the sister of Mokdan. But her name is unknown.
Hae-sang plans to search for the girl’s name on February 28th which is a sacred day when no ghosts can harm. However, the evil spirit inside San-young learns their plan since it’s within her.
In the end, we learn that Hae-sang’s grandmother is the main criminal. Since her husband was abusive, she decided to tell him the wrong name of the spirit which ended his life. Only she knows the real name because if she tells it out, her immortal life will end. The name of the girl is Hyangi and only Hae-sang’s grandmother knows about it since it is within her as well.
Revenant Episode 10 Review
I can’t believe that the show is ending next week because it feels like the series’ thrill has just begun. So much is happening at this point and everything is making sense. Now the biggest challenge is to find the evil spirit’s name which is going to be troublesome. The evil spirit wants to live on so it will kill anyone who tries to find her name. Only Hae-sang’s grandmother knows because she is extremely selfish and won’t bother giving out the name.

There are chances of Hae-sang becoming prey to the evil spirit because he might find out it’s origin. But let’s not be quick to figure it out. Hopefully, the trio will survive by the end of the show.
Revenant is available for streaming on Disney+.
