Reporting for Duty (BO) is an upcoming series on Netflix that has left fans excited about it. The streaming platform’s calendar seems to be brimming with new releases and among them is this new Brazilian comedy show. The platform has been expanding its global content and amid the addition of more Korean and Spanish language content, this series will also offer viewers something new.

The series will be a workplace comedy and if you plan to add another new show to your viewing schedule, here’s all you need to know about the cast, story and release date of this Brazilian series that has its story set in Rio de Janeiro. The show has been produced by Camisa Listrada from an original concept by Leandro Hassum, Fabíola Alves, Gui Cintra and Nigel Goodman.

The upcoming workplace comedy is set in a hectic police station in the Tijuca neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, where a new chief has just started. The main story revolves around Suzano (Leandro Hassum) who after accidentally capturing a fugitive criminal affiliated with an illegal gambling ring, finds himself transferred to the Rio division. He transfers to the 8th Precinct of Rio de Janeiro and soon his life is turned upside down. His colleagues seem to not believe in him and think he won’t last long as the new chief. The show will capture his journey as he tries to fit into the fearless squad.

Apart from Leandro Hassum in the lead, the show also stars Luciana Paes as Inspector Mantovani, Jefferson Schroeder as police clerk Estevão, Babu Carreira as Detective Inaê Guerra, Digão Ribeiro as Detective Rabecão, Taumaturgo Ferreira as Detective Alcebiades Pardal, Cauê Campos as Detective Kauã, and Josie Antello as Zuleide, master of the kitchen.

The series’ cast also includes Aline Borges, Bruno Cabrerizo, Pedro Wagner, Renan Tenca, Louise Cardoso, Elisa Pinheiro, Leandro Ramos, Júlia Guerra, Cleber Salgado and George Sauma in supporting roles.

The show has been written by Carol Garcia, César Amorim, Edu Araujo, Fabíola Alves, Gui Cintra, Pedro Emanuel, Pedro Perazzo, and Victor Rodrigues. Pedro Amorim serves as the lead director, with Hassum and Carol Minêm also directing the series. The cop comedy series’ Reporting for Duty release date is slated for September 6, 2023 on Netflix.

A trailer of the show has been released and it has promised that the series will be an entertaining watch with its quirky humour. It looks like Leandro Hassum will bring a lot of laughs with his performance and the supporting characters also add to the humour. For fans of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, this will be a different cop comedy series to watch.
