Remarriage and Desires (블랙의 신부) is a Korean drama series released on Netflix. The series is directed by Kim Jeong-min and written by Lee Geun-yeong. There are 8 episodes in total with a runtime of about almost 1 hour. It portrays the Korean high society that deals with marriages and remarriages only as a way to move higher in society.
The cast of the series includes Kim Hee-sun as Seo Hye-seung, Lee Hyun-wook as Lee Hyung-joo, Jung Yoo-jin as Jin Yoo-hui, Cha Ji-yeon as Choi Yoo-sun, Park Hoon as Cha Seok-jin, Park Sang-hoon as Lee Jun-ho and others. The synopsis of the series reads – Through an exclusive matchmaking agency that caters to the ultrarich, a woman plots revenge against her ex-husband’s scheming mistress.
Remarriage and Desires Ending Explained
In the last 3 episodes, we see that Jin Yoo-hui gets arrested for her crimes and is questioned by the police. But due to her father’s help, she gets out of the charges put on her. Now she is set on taking revenge on the people who tried to put her down. Instead of trying to malign her father, she has now changed her target to Lee Hyung-joo and Seo Hye-seung.

First, she joins hands with Hyung-joo’s friend/partner and his ex-wife to transfer the Hibull company to them. Also, the imprisoned manager who helped Hyung-joo is kidnapped and murdered but portrayed as a suicide, whose blame lands on Hyung-joo. Even more troubles put his company’s future in danger and thus he sought Son Pil-young’s help, who puts the condition of marrying Yoo-hui first.
Meanwhile, Hye-seung’s daughter Min-ji gets into an accident on her way home, which is revealed to be Yoo-hui’s doing, as she paid a truck driver to hit Min-ji while she was crossing the road. To take her final revenge, Hye-seung extracts all the data from her husband, Kang Nam-sik’s phone and finds a video chat where Yoo-hui reveals that she is an illegitimate child of Son Pil-young.
She takes the file and goes to the minister’s office, to warn and ask him to stop his daughter or she will expose his truth. Afraid of her conviction, Pil-young orders Go Ae-ran to kill Hye-seung once and for all. Meanwhile, she has already sent the file to a reporter but gets hit by two cars, who seem to have come to kill her.
We see that Hye-seung is tied in the back of the car and the car gets crushed by the machine. All of this is sent to Pil-young in form of pictures and videos. On the other hand, Hyung-joo is with Yoo-hui and tells her that he will marry her, that’s why he has organised a press conference to announce his wedding.

But he ambushes her and turns on the news exposing Son Pil-young’s extramarital affair and reveals to the reporters that Jin Yoo-hui is the lawyer-daughter mentioned in the news. On seeing the news, Pil-young realises that even Go Ae-ran has betrayed him by revealing his call to her regarding Hye-seung’s murder, to the media.
Just then she comes to his office and he tries to kill her but gets stopped by Seo Hye-seung and the police. But how is Hye-seung alive? Well, she tells Ae-ran that she has already sent the file to a reporter and if the police will investigate, she will be the one who will go down with him. Thus Ae-ran fakes killing her and instead helps in exposing Pil-young so that she is off the hook.
In the last episode, Hye-seung decides to marry Cha Seok-jin by agreeing to the deal with Choi Yoo-sun. Therefore, now all the inheritance is in Yoo-sun’s hand. But when they were on the aisle, Cha Seok-jin lets Lee Hyung-joo take the place as the groom and he asks Hye-seung to marry her.
From this, we can only deduce that they eventually got married and the company Rex, is also closed down. Choi Yoo-sun was wrapping up her belongings from the company when a young man walks in and asks her to cater to the young people as well. The series ends after this scene and we have no explanation of who he is. Could it be an open-ended window for another season? That Rex will now start anew or he is Yoo-sun’s son, for whom she has been trying to get all the inheritance and money?
