Rafuchakkar Plot
Disguising himself as a rich airline guy, athletic gym rat, and such, a con man who mainly targeted women to cheat and defraud money gets arrested. But due to the lack of evidence, the truth stands sealed. Will the courtroom drama prove that Pawan is the scammer and elaborate on why he committed those crimes? Or will the mastermind escape the play?
Rafuchakkar Episode 5 Recap
The fifth episode introduces various truths, which creates curiosity. Apparently, the Manjeet Singh character is all a hoax, and it is a made-up story by Ritu Arora to strengthen the case against Pawan Kumar. Harpreet Singh (who stated about his wedding being called off due to a fake wedding planner, Singh) is actually Mr Pathania’s business partner.
When Ajay Chauhan was in ties with Pathania, Harpreet was seen around the political guy. It is during this situation Ajay Chauhan (that is Pawan Kumar), met Harpreet. Hence, this is why in the polygraph test, Pawan Kumar’s heartbeat arose. Not because he scammed Harpreet, but because he was surprised to see a familiar face. Ritu Arora planned the fake story so that Pawan would mess up in the polygraph test and his attorney Jaidev will start searching for Harpreet’s fiance Preeti to come to the witness stand.

Coming to the courtroom, Jaidev pulls Harpreet aside and states that the wedding was called off due to Preeti receiving pictures of Harpreet with several women. With this evidence, Jaidev gets bail for Pawan. However, Pawan explains to Jaidev that the pictures are fake, and it is set up by Ritu to make Jaidev feel that he is winning. Why so? Because the thought of success will distract Jaidev so Ritu can collect more evidence.
Pawan also tells that the wedding was called off because Preeti cheated on Harpreet. Moreover, since that day, Preeti and her family have gone missing, so Jaidev will never find Preeti. A perplexed Jaidev asks Pawan about how he knows these facts, to which Pawan accepts that except for Manjeet Singh, he indeed is the scammer who disguised as Ajay Chauhan, Kirtan Gada, and the yet-to-know characters.

Rafuchakkar Episode 5 Review
There is definitely a big backstory between Pawan Kumar and Pathania because the con man didn’t get such confidence to trick a parliament guy without deep connections. Somehow Pathania knows about Pawan Kumar, and he wants to put him in jail desperately enough by going as far as to bring up fake witnesses. Why is he so desperate to bring a common man down, especially when he can easily get rid of him with his political power? Why is Pathania seeking the law system? Definitely, there’s something more to this.

Now that Manjeet Singh’s character doesn’t exist, where is Preeti? What happened to her family? Did Harpreet or Pathania cause them harm, or is the wedding a hoax too? Does Preeti really exist? All these questions start to come up as we keep watching the episode. Another notable part of this episode is how Jaidev reacted calmly when Pawan opens up his disguises. Does that mean Jaidev was aware of Pawan’s con artist life?
There are way too many questions that keep building, and that’s a win for the series’ team. When it comes to crime thrillers or courtroom dramas, only toward the end should the viewers get to know the whole picture. And for that successful ending, we should be given various scenes where questions will confuse them and increase their eagerness to find the conclusion. Since this aspect is present in Rafuchakkar, the show deserves love.
It’s quite evident Pawan isn’t a normal citizen because he is a genius. His survival skills are really high, so maybe he could have been part of some underground association or a governmental group. This is just a theory, though. His family is quite clever with their answers, too, while they were interrogated. How so? Additionally, is Jaidev Pawan’s ally, or is Jaidev the real mastermind? We’re yet to find out.

Final Thoughts
So much is happening, and there are still more avatars of Maniesh Paul yet to come. The show is getting spicier, thanks to the random cliffhangers. Hopefully, season 1 will end on a thrilling note and not bluntly because so far, it has kept the expectations steadily.
