The Queendom Puzzle finale (퀸덤 퍼즐) is nigh and we’re already holding our breaths to find out who all are going to cross this bridge victoriously. Mnet’s reality survival show is a television spin-off of the original Queendom, hosted by Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon. It features contestants from several K-pop girl groups (some currently active, some not). The former Mnet show focussed on the brewing competition among various girl groups, ultimately to crown one of them as the reigning Queens in the end.
However, the spin-off is centred around creating a new global girl group with members across these different groups, much like the concept of SM’s supergroups SuperM and GIRLS ON TOP. The performance-based show with eliminations and selections happening every week stars members from groups like Lovelyz, AOA, WJSN, Weki Meki, H1-KEY, Weeekly, Rocket Punch, tripleS, PURPLE KISS and more.
Live streamed on Mnet’s YouTube channel on a weekly basis, the show’s last episode to air presented the semi final round, bringing forth many more eliminations, thereby making the competition fiercer than ever before. This round was broadcasted on August 8, 2023, at 10 PM KST, enabling the fans to vote for their favourites in real time.
The semi final round i.e. Queendom Puzzle Episode 9 required the remaining contestants to perform three new songs as per their team divisions – PUZZLIN, i DGA and I Do. Previous eliminations had caused some disturbance and needed certain present teams to shuffle their members to meet the desired number of participants needed.
Queendom Puzzle Eliminations (Semi Finals)
Many fan favourites were eliminated during the last episode. Seven contestants to leave the race were Fye, Shiroma Miru, Cherry Bullet Bora, Weeekly Zoa, Weeekly Lee Soojin, H1-KEY Riina and Cherry Bullet Jiwon.
Who are the Last 14 Competitors Heading Into the Queendom Puzzle Finale?
Revealed in no particular order, the Top 7 members crowned during the semi final episode broadcast were woo!ah! Nana, H1-KEY Hwiseo, Lovelyz Kei, WJSN Yeoreum, PURPLE KISS Yuki, CLC Yeeun and Rocket Punch Yeonhee. However, these ranks will go back down to ground zero and will to be considered for the finale’s evaluation. Therefore, the other 7 contestants still in the final race are Weki Meki Elly, Rocket Punch Juri, Dohwa, Weeekly Jihan, Rocket Punch Suyun, woo!ah! Wooyeon and tripleS Jiwoo.
Queendom Puzzle Episode 10 Release Date
The final episode, i.e. Episode 10 is set to release a week after the Queendom Puzzle semi final aired. On August 15, 2023, Tuesday, the final results will be in, thus concluding the survival show journey.
What Will Happen to the Final Top 7?
The reigning last 7 remaining winners of the show will debut as part of a new girl supergroup called EL7Z U+P (now changed to EL7ZUP) . The septet’s members will be revealed during the final episode’s live broadcast on August 15. The group formation will also be followed by other benefits like a brand new song release and subsequent promotions as a group that will entail a Global Tour in addition to a special stage performance slot reserved for the members at the year end MAMA ceremony.
