Queen of Tears Episode 7 Preview: The new romantic comedy K-drama follows the lives of an influential couple, known as the ‘couple of the century’, who face multiple marital problems but there seems to be only one solution- falling in love! As they face a crisis, they realise how well they work together, leading them to stay together against all odds.
Queen of Tears (눈물의 여왕) is a romantic comedy that began airing on 9th March 2024 on tvN as well as on Netflix in selected regions. The 16-episode series stars popular and talented actors, Kim Soo-hyun as Baek Hyun-woo and Kim Ji-won as Hong Hae-in along with Na Young-hee, Jung Jin-young, Kwak Dong-yeon, Park Sung-hoon, Kim Jung-nan and others.
The romantic drama is written by Park Ji-eun, the mastermind behind popular dramas like Crash Landing On You, My Love From the Stars and The Producers and directed by Jang Young-woo as well as Kim Hee-won.
Queen of Tears Plot
Hong Hae-in is a chaebol heiress, known as the ‘queen’ of Queens Group Department Stores while Baek Hyun-woo, her husband, is the legal director of the conglomerate and known as the ‘supermarket prince’. Hong Hae-in is described as a cold and calculated woman while Baek Hyun-woo is warm-hearted and emotional.
A marriage between an influential woman and an entry-level employee is dubbed the ‘wedding of the century’ and is nothing but a facade. Belonging to two different worlds, the couple could not overcome their differences but a big crisis brings these two together. Soon, they realise that maybe being different from one another is not so bad after all.

In the upcoming events, Hae-in will be deeply disappointed upon discovering the divorce papers supposedly created by Hyun-woo. As her frustration mounts, she decides to leave, unaware of the impending danger. Just as she is about to face a potential accident, Hyun-woo will come to her rescue, saving her from harm’s way. Despite his concern for her well-being, Hae-in will insist that Hyun-woo refrain from feigning concern.
Upon their return to Korea, the Hae-in family will confront Hyun-woo, expressing their adamant refusal to accept a divorce and their willingness to forgive the issue of wiretapping. However, they will make it clear that Hyun-woo’s continued employment is contingent upon the preservation of their marital union. The looming threat of dismissal will further compound Hyun-woo’s distress.

Meanwhile, in the village, Hyun-woo’s family will be thrown into a state of panic upon learning about the impending divorce. Feeling the weight of his family’s expectations and the strain of the conflict, Hyun-woo will reluctantly agree to leave the house. However, he will issue a stern warning to Hae-in, cautioning her against any interaction with Eun-sung.
Despite Hyun-woo’s warning, Eun Sung will waste no time in approaching Hae In, harbouring intentions to usurp Hyun-woo’s position in her life. As tensions escalate and alliances shift, the future remains uncertain for all involved parties, with the impending divorce casting a shadow over their relationships and futures.
Queen of Tears Episode 6 Recap
The episode picks up with Hyun-woo and Hae-in sharing an intimate embrace before retiring to their room. Meanwhile, back in Korea, Eun-sung and Da-hye clandestinely enter Hae-in and Hyun-woo’s room, seeking clues to sabotage their relationship. They plant incriminating items in Hyun-woo’s room, intending to cause trouble for him. Later that night, in Germany, Hae-in broaches the topic of her mortality with Hyun-woo, discussing funeral arrangements. Overwhelmed, Hyun-woo urges her to prioritize her health before revising her will.
In Korea, Da-hye and Grace conspire to seize control of the Queens Group, identifying Hyun-woo as a significant obstacle. Their heated argument narrowly avoids detection by Da-hye’s mother-in-law. Grace manipulates her, blaming Hyun-woo for her son, Soo-cheol’s business setbacks, inciting her anger towards him.
Meanwhile, Soo-Cheol endeavours to sway his grandfather into a business deal, leveraging Eun-sung’s investment. However, doubts surface regarding the legitimacy of Eun-sung’s funds, casting aspersions on Hyun-woo’s financial acumen. A flashback unveils a pivotal childhood interaction between Da-hye and Soo-cheol, shedding light on her ulterior motives. At a family dinner, suspicions arise regarding the paternity of Soo-Cheol’s son, hinting at underlying secrets.

In Germany, Hae-in and Hyun-woo confront her fear of mortality while reminiscing about their past. Before her medical checkup, Hae-in chases after a young boy, triggering Hyun-woo’s frantic search for her. Upon reuniting, Hae-in confides in Hyun-woo about her hallucinations involving her late brother, revealing her deep-seated guilt over his death.
Back home, Man-dae uncovers evidence of internal sabotage within the Queens Group, casting suspicion on Hyun-woo. Hae-in’s mother confronts her with allegations against Hyun-woo, prompting her to launch her own investigation. Further tension ensues when divorce papers hidden in a safe are discovered on Hyun-woo’s desk, fueling speculation about his involvement in planting audio and video recorders.
Meanwhile, Beom-Ja uncovers shocking revelations about Seul-hee’s true identity, intensifying the unfolding drama. In Germany, Hae-in receives a distressing photo of the divorce papers, prompting her to confront Hyun-woo. Despite his admission to preparing the agreement, their relationship spirals into a new cycle of misunderstandings.
