For all the Bridgerton fans out there, the Queen Charlotte A Bridgerton Story trailer is here to finally show us why King George was so appealing to Charlotte in the first place. This limited series will star Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, Ruth Gemmell, India Ria Amarteifo, Corey Mylchreest, Arsema Thomas, Sam Clemmett, Michelle Fairley, Tunji Kasim, Katie Brayben, Keir Charles and Richard Cunningham, alongside other cast members.
From the studio that brought the regency-loving period drama, Shondaland will also be creating this show. This limited series is directed by Tom Verica and will contain six episodes. This is our first look at a young Charlotte, and so far, it is on point. She looks determined, strong and has a clear sense of self in the series. As Bridgerton explains, their marriage gave way to people from all across the spectrum to have their true love matches.

In the trailer, we see that this is the whole reason they are getting married in the first place. By thinking of bridging two sides together, the royalty has decided to branch out and be more modern in its approach. Charlotte hasn’t even met George yet, but their marriage plans seem to be happening in full swing. The trailer shows a snippet of their meet-cute, and it is perhaps the most apt trope that would be used for a first meeting like this.
Following this meeting, the story moves forward to show us how the two of them tolerate each other and figure out what their interests are. We see that George likes using the telescope, and that becomes their first shared interest that helps them bond. The arranged marriage forced proximity trope seems to be working extremely well right now.

Obviously, since this is a romance, there has to be angst, and for some unknown reasons right now, we don’t know why she has been asked to stay away from George. But soon, we do see them make their way to each other and she is livid. He hadn’t fought hard enough for her, and now she explains how she deserves more respect than that. Ready to fight and ready to love, Charlotte will not take no for an answer.
As with any story from this universe, the accidental touches are high, there is about to be some well-choreographed spice and a seriously heart-touching story ready to hit Netflix soon. While fans are already excited for the next season of Bridgerton, this is a fantastic interlude that will fill in gaps for every Charlotte and George interaction we have seen in the previous seasons.
