The much-awaited Prithviraj trailer is out now! The upcoming Hindi-language historical epic will see Chandraprakash Dwivedi in the director’s seat and is produced by Yash Raj Films. Fans have been waiting for this film for a long time as the epic war action drama was postponed indefinitely after not getting its initial release back in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, looks like the wait has been worth it as the trailer promises to sweep us off our feet in theatres soon.
Based on the legendary Prithviraj Raso, a Braj Bhasha epic poem about the life of the Chahamana dynasty king, Prithviraj Chauhan, the is going to feature superstar Akshay Kumar in the titular role. Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar is set to make her Hindi film debut through this movie in the role of Sanyogita. However, the star cast does not end here as stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij and Lalit Tiwari will be seen in important roles.
The trailer description for the upcoming film reads: “A fearless warrior. An epic love story. Witness the grand saga of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.” The trailer starts with the words, ‘A man followed by 100 warriors, a 100 courtiers, ready to die for country and honour is the might king Prithviraj Chauhan’ as we witness the beginning of this epic sage.
Akshay Kumar is the embodiment of this fearless warrior we have known only in the pages of history. And, further down the trailer, we meet Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt and Manushi Chillar in their respective roles, shining brightly.
