The dropping of the Prey trailer has left everyone with goosebumps. The fifth installment in the famous Predator franchise, the upcoming Hulu film is a prequel to the first four films. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the screenplay for the film is by Patrick Aison that is based on characters by Jim Thomas and John Thomas. John Davis and Jhane Myers serve as the producers for this upcoming release under the banner of 20th Century Studios and Davis Entertainment.
The film will star Legion’s Amber Midthunder as Naru, a Comanche warrior who protects her tribe against a Predator, that will be played by Dane DiLiegro. The other cast members for the film include Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp, Michelle Thrush and Julian Black Antelope.
The Prey trailer description reads: “Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, “Prey” is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.”

The upcoming film is a science fiction, action-adventure with elements of horror. It is scheduled to be released on August 5, 2022, on Hulu in the United States, on Disney+ Hotstar in India and Southeast Asian territories and on Star+ in Latin America. Other international territories can watch the film on Disney+.
