When is Pretty Little Liars Original Sin Releasing? Here’s All You Need to Know About the Teen Mystery Drama

Pretty Little Liars fans it is finally time to rejoice as the reboot of the OG mystery drama, Pretty Little Liars Original Sin, is set to arrive on HBO Max pretty soon. Giving a slasher twist to the teen mystery drama, the latest show will be the fourth one in the franchise that is based on Sara Shepard’s novel series of the same name.

Developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring (the creator of Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), the series is produced by Muckle Man Productions, Alloy Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. Ahead of its release, let us quickly look through some key details about the latest show.

Pretty Little Liars Original Sin Cast

The ensemble cast features five main characters that include Chandler Kinney as Tabby Haworthe, Maia Reficco as Noa Olivar, Bailee Madison as Imogen Adams, Zaria as Faran Bryant and Malia Pyles as Mouse Honrada. Alongside them, we have Alex Aiono as Shawn, Mallory Bechtel as twins Karen & Kelly Beasley and, Eric Johnson as Sheriff Beasley.

Unlike, the other spin-offs such as Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, this reboot will not feature any cast member from the original series. Lucy Hale has reportedly confirmed the uninvolvement of the original cast members as the reboot is set in a different location, telling the story concerning a different group of teenagers.

Pretty Little Liars Original Sin Plot/Synopsis

The description for the plot on HBO Max reads: “Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a disparate group of teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin committed by their parents two decades ago…as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe — in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars.”

Pretty Little Liars Original Sin Release Date, Trailer and More

The show is slated to arrive on HBO Max on July 28, 2022. It will premiere with three episodes, followed by the release of two episodes on a weekly basis, ending with the final three episodes arriving on the network on August 18, 2022. In total, the series will have ten episodes, each approximately 40 minutes long.
