Poker Face Plot/Synopsis

The synopsis of the mystery of the week series reads, “following Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.”

In the trailer, we see Adrien Brody as the casino boss, asking Charlie Cale (Lyonne) ‘what it’s like always knowing the truth?’ She promptly replies, there’s nothing mystical about it, I can just tell. But it looks like, not everyone has good plans for her lie-detecting powers, thus leading her to be on the run.

Charlie also describes herself as the death magnet, as she finds herself amidst a crime, even though she is not specifically seeking it. While she is on the run, Benjamin Bratt as the casino head of security chases her across the country to get her back, alive or even dead.
