Weathering is a gripping psychological thriller that follows the journey of a young journalist, as she struggles to come to terms with the tragic loss of her newborn baby. The film highlights the aspects of difficult labour, which results in the tragic death of the female protagonist’s child and nearly her own life. The trauma of the experience leaves her struggling with intense grief and anxiety, which only evolves as she tries to come to terms with her loss.
As the protagonist tries to cope with her grief, she begins to experience a series of disturbing visions and terrifying attacks. The visions, which are often haunting and surreal, seem to arise from her grief and trauma. Moreover, she begins to become more delusional, and her mind eventually turns towards a state of fear and paranoia.
As the mental state of our protagonist deteriorates, she becomes increasingly isolated from her surroundings. Moreover, she shuts out her friends and family and instead backtracks into her own mind.

Notably, the protagonist of the film, Alexis Louder has also appeared in several films and series like The Tomorrow War, Copshop, Violent Night, The Originals, and The Terminal List. On the other hand, Jermaine Fowler was last seen in the Duplass Brothers’ comedy production, The Drop.
