Now that the winner of Netflix’s first ever South Korean survival game show has become the nation’s talk, a possible Physical 100 season 2 is buzzing around. The ominous announcer voice, who lets know the game rules, ended the season 1 with a tease. The game show includes 100 participants who will compete to win the perfect body title and the cash prize of 300 million Korean won.
The official Netflix description of the show reads,
ONE HUNDRED CONTESTANTS IN TOP PHYSICAL SHAPE COMPETE IN A SERIES OF GRUELING CHALLENGES TO CLAIM THE HONOR — AND CASH REWARD — AS THE LAST ONE STANDING.
There are 100 contestants, and some of the notable members are Cha Hyun-seung, Choo Sung-hoon, Ovan, Kang Han, Yang Hak-seon, Miracle, Yun Sung-bin, Ye-hyun, Ma Sun-ho, Jang Eun-sil, Jo Jin-hyeong, Shin Dong-guk, Dustin Nippert, Woo Jin-yong, Park Jin-yong, Kim Min-cheol, Lee Dae-won, Chun-ri, Hong Boem-seok, Choi Hyun-mi, Tarzan, Kkang Mi, Kim Sang-wook, BBulkup, Florian, Austin Kang, Dawon, Agent H and Shin Bomire.
Recap of Physical 100
In the first season, there were 23 female and 77 male contestants competing each other for the cash prize of 300 KRW and the title of perfect body. The first episode started with a warm-up mission where the 100 participants had to hold on to a bar and stay there as kong as they could till one remained.
From then on, every quest ensured to test the best out of the contestants. There were 1 on 1 missions and group missions that massively eliminated the contestants. Fianlly, only five were chosen as the finalists. The surprising factor of the show is that one can’t guess who will win because the cliffhanger’s leave the viewers perplexed.
In the final quest, there were four missions, each in which a contestant was eliminated. The first was a tug of war mission where all five contestants were chained to each other. All of them had to unlock themselves with a key in front of them. In the first round, Kim Min-cheol was eliminated.

The second quest had to be won by pairing up with someone, and the losing team members were to combat each other so that one person gets eliminated. In this mission, Jo Jin-hyeong failed and almost ran out of breath. After this, the three remaining contestants took part in a shuttle run, and after the 80th rep, Park Jin-yong, backed off.
Finally, Woo Jin-yong and Jeong Hae-min battled each other in a rope pulling game. After pulling almost infinitely, Woo Jin-yong completed the entire rope roll. The unexpected winner left everyone in awe!
Will There Be Physical 100 Season 2
When Woo Jin-yong was announced as the winner, the voice added some extra phrases, almost like the search for the perfect body isn’t over yet. The Korean sentences precisely say, “Various physiques exist in this world. Our search for the perfect physique will continue.” We will definitely have another season, but it’s not confirmed yet.
Speaking of the contestants, since the show already included non-korean people, it can also be shot on any other country. Nevertheless, the show has been extremely successful in South Korea, and so if Netflix renews it, we can expect another season in 2023.
