In the not-so-distant future, everything seems dystopic, and the Paradise trailer is just the beginning of showing us how exactly that is possible. Directed by Boris Kunz, this film stars Numan Acar, Kostja Ullmann, Iris Berben, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Diana Krueger, Lukas von Horbatschewsky, Donatas Simukauskas, Matthias Ziesing, Vytautas Medineckas and Ulrich Wickert, alongside other cast members. It is written by Kunz, Simon Amberger and Peter Kocyla.
Christian Stangassinger serves as the cinematographer, while Nathalie Bouteiller-Marin and Nina Kammermeier join the crew as producers. The film has a run-time of 116 minutes. In this story, people of the planet can trade years of their life for money. However, in the case of insurance debt, this woman has to give up 40 years of her life, and her husband tries to get them back. Till then, she has to live as an older woman wishing for better circumstances.

This company that has invented such a facility caters to the rich who want to live forever. It preys on people with low incomes who will do anything to keep their houses running. Many human rights groups all over the world protest against this, explaining how when lifetime is made a commodity, people become commodities. Initially, the male protagonist is on the other side of this, noting that if all the people have is youth, then why should anyone stop them from profiting from it?
However, it all gets turned on its head when his wife herself becomes a victim of this situation. The female protagonist is incredibly overwhelmed by the prospect that she will be 40 years older after this procedure. Obviously, none of the kicking and screaming worked out for her. Over the hours, she loses all the elasticity in her skin and the youthfulness in her voice and is physically transformed into a person his husband can no longer relate to.

But the process is reversible. She can get back to her youth and her life with her husband. He promises her that Aeon may have stolen her life, but he was ready to bring it back for her, even if that means committing crimes and supporting an activist group in their violent endeavours. It looks incredibly ominous and has a similar energy to Altered Carbon. With all the rich people in the world, it is no surprise that there will always be exploitation and pain for people in a lower financial class.
