Pandora Beneath the Paradise (판도라: 조작된 낙원) is a Korean thriller action drama that brings the story of a woman who has to reach the top to protect her family. Directed by Choi Young-hoon, the drama stars Lee Ji-ah, Lee Sang-yoon, Jang Hee-jin, Park Ki-woong, Bong Tae-kyu, and Shim So-young, alongside other cast members.
The show will have 16 episodes and takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:10 PM KST timeslot previously held by Crash Course in Romance. Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 5 has a run time of 65 minutes.

Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 5 begins with Sung-chan and Do-jin being seen chasing Yu-ra while she meets with Geum-mo’s assistant and hands over Sung-chan’s research files to him. There she finds out that she has been working for someone else and not Geum-mo and his face is seen by her which results in a third person chasing her. She then throws away the file which she had actually not given away and runs.
Following this, we finally reach the scene of her death after which she is hung up on a tree which is struck by lighting which results in her body being burnt. Elsewhere, Tae-ra is chasing Hae-soo who finally stops near a cliff and when Tae-ra reaches her, she acts as though she has thrown Tae-ra’s daughter into the river flowing below.

However, her daughter soon arrives and Tae-ra is relieved while Hae-soo tells her that she would never do anything to her daughter. She then asks Tae-ra if she would be appearing at her election special with Jae-hyun and hopes that she would come; after this, she leaves.
When the two arrive back home they see police vehicles around the house and soon find out that Yu-ra is dead which leaves them all shocked. The people connected to Yu-ra all give their statements while Hae-soo checks one of the secret cameras in her house and finds out that Yu-ra is the one with whom Do-jin had an affair.
Elsewhere, Sung-chan is saddened by Yu-ra’s betrayal but is also angered by Do-jin with whom she had an affair as he believes that Yu-ra was threatened by Do-jin. He wants to go confront Do-jin but Jae-hyun soon arrives and finds out what happened. However, he is surprised that Sung-chan had secretly conducted human trials which makes him curious about the file that has been lost.
Having been stopped by Jae-hyun, Sung-chan then goes on to put the story of Do-jin and Yu-ra online which shocks the netizens and results in police investigating Do-jin while the media flock around Hatch. Do-jin is surprised to find out that Sung-chan had reported his affair and goes out to clear things between them.
Jae-hyun soon arrives and shows his disappointment towards Do-jin after which he tells him that a shareholders meeting will soon be held to decide whether Do-jin is capable of holding the CEO position. Do-jin is left helpless while elsewhere, Hae-soo too is facing a hard time due to her husband’s affair going public.
On the other hand, opposition parties are also finding satisfaction in this turn of events as they make use of every chance to downgrade Jae-hyun who is frustrated about what to do next. Hae-soo then approaches him and convinces him to show up at her special show to which he agrees.
Meanwhile, Tae-ra is taking care of her part as the victim’s family and going through the investigation results and so on. She finds out that Yu-ra had left her a message on voicemail which leaves her shocked. Later, while looking at Yu-ra’s body for the last time, she finds something in her mouth and is unable to believe that this is what was left for her at the end.
Soon, Yu-ra’s funeral is held after which Hae-soo approaches her to talk about showing up at the latter’s special show to which Tae-ra agrees which shocks Hae-soo. Later, Hae-soo convinces her husband that Yu-ra approaching him had something to do with Tae-ra. Elsewhere, Tae-ra shows her support for Jae-hyun and agrees to go on Hae-soo’s show with him.
Later that night, Tae-ra goes to the scene of Yu-ra’s death and finds the pearls of her necklace on the ground which convinces her that Yu-ra had been murdered. Suddenly, Pil-seung arrives behind her and shows her the picture of Geum-mo’s assistant with a man in a hood which seals her suspicions.

The next day, the result of Hatch’s shareholders’ meeting arrives and Do-jin is made to leave the company which has his father letting him know that it is time for him to come back to Kumjo group. However, Do-jin disagrees with this and is determined to not come back. This angers his father but he lets him know that he will come back and that too along with his position at Hatch.
Elsewhere, Sung-chan visits Do-jin’s mother and tells her that her son Kyo-jin’s accident may have something to do with Do-jin which gives her shock. However, what the two don’t see is Kyo-jin moving a finger.
Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 5 Ending
Pandora Beneath the Paradise episode 5 ends with Tae-ra preparing herself to support her husband in the upcoming campaign by connecting with the public herself. On the other hand, Seon-deok approaches Jae-hyun to build a partnership which makes him realise that she has something that can ruin him.
Later, Geun-mo has made his preparation to take over Kumjo and sets off to kill his stepson Kyo-jin when Do-jin arrives to stop him and warns him to not touch Kyo-jin or his mother unless he wants Do-jin dead. This stops Geun-mo while Jae-hyun and Kyo-jin’s mother are relieved who had called Do-jin and told him about what Geun-mo was going to do.
Do-jin soon arrives to them but is slapped by his mother who tells him that she never thought of him as her son as she rushes off to Kyo-jin. The next day, Tae-ra and Jae-hyun set off to the special show and are ready for the interview with Hae-soo.
While the interview seems to be going well for quite some time, Hae-soo suddenly shifts off-topic and focuses on Tae-ra and soon questions her about No. 50, the assassin who killed the ex-president and her father. This shocks Tae-ra, Jae-hyun and everyone else present and soon the episode comes to an end.
Pandora Beneath the Paradise Episode 5 Review
This episode has become one filled with twists and turns along with secrets that have been formed and will soon come to light and shock us all. With Yu-ra’s death and Hae-soo’s big reveal, a big turn has arrived and the show is soon to get better than ever.
However, there were some scenes that may be a bigger shock for us all later, be it Jae-hyun’s curiosity about the results of Sung-chan’s human trials, or when he begins his manipulation of Kyo-jin’s mother but pointing towards the smart patch.
It seems like Jae-hyun has a goal that is different from what we see, and this also brings out attention to Tae-ra who has got her hands on something left by Yu-ra which has pushed her into helping Jae-hyun become the president.
This episode has really got a lot of mines hidden and these are sure to make a big change in the future.
